Hey guys!
I need a CTF 2x build and i am saving up for a ctf 3d so I don't want to spend more than 500k cbills. I have this mech basiced but i don't have enough stockpiled to sell it. I have been frustrated by lights and don't want a better engine than a STD 280.
If you could help me, i would love it. Thanks all!

Op, there isn't much wrong with the stock CTF-2X build if you don't want to spend anything on the mech. Using the AC/10 and LLAS at range and the 2 MLAS and SRM4 up close keeps heat under control with the 14 single heat sinks.

One alternative would be to change out the AC/10 for an AC/5 and 4 more heat sinks. Or keep the AC/10 but exchange the LLAS for a 3rd MLAS and 4 more heat sinks. Some people might choose to simply lose the SRM-4 and ammo for 3 more heat sinks.

If you are frustrated by lights while also being concerned about c-bills, one good option might be to sell off the AC/10, SRM-4 , and LLAS to buy an LB-10X w/3 tons ammo, 2 Streak SRM-2 launchers with 1 ton ammo, a 3rd MLAS, and 4 heat sinks. The sell-off earnings plus your 500k should fit closely enough to your budget, and perhaps you have some of the desired components in your inventory already? That gives you a mech with weapons that are all good for attacking lights and still decent in general use, though missing a long-range heavy-hitter. But certainly a good mech to rack up assists and earn c-bills.
