Why Was Cryengine The Engine Of Choice For Mwo?

I vaguely remember it was mentioned that when the next Mechwarrior game was announced long time ago (the fabled Mechwarrior 5 trailer) the game was rendered using the Unreal Engine.

I'm just curious why they switched to CryEngine, given how the CryEngine supposedly has really bad netcode support.

Can anyone provide any technical answers?

well russ bullock said even if he knew about the bugs they were going to experience with cyengine 3
he said cryengine 3 still would have been chosen
ask him :3
