Dear Devs,

I feel I must confess something that I have experienced in game that has happened rarely but has given me a slight edge when playing. On very rare occasions at the start of the game I have briefly seen a half second shot as though I have deployed on the other team and then moved to the place where I would start the game from. Most of the time I see nothing of importance however there have been a few occasions where I have seen one or more mechs of the other team giving me an insight of the team composition.

As I have been here since Closed Beta, I thought that this was a bug that would get sorted out through patching but it still persists. It has taken me until now to let you know about this because it has happened so rarely and the info gathered mostly useless that I have not thought it important. I suppose I'd just like you know that this exists so that it can be looked at and in light of the expanded rules of conduct, I'd please like to not get banned for this confession but I would like this to stop as my pilot is getting nosebleeds from these psychic flashes!*

Yours

Silent Hunter

This happens to me as well, and I have had teammates tell me things like "Enemy team has 2 Highlanders" due to this event happening to them.

pfffff XD XD dude this is how it happens.

You finish the match has allways.

Launch

And get your last match enemy/teammates

It's called "sync drop"...well in your case would be unintended sync drop from the guys you're speaking informing about the eneny team mechs.

So naturally you expect the same mechs from that team

It's veryyyy normal stuff you know ?

Actually, while what you describe does happen, the OP describes an entirely different situation, which I have experienced myself and had people who experienced it use it to give intel on enemy team composition.

For a brief moment the view from your cockpit is on the enemy team's launching area. Then it becomes your own. You know how you can see with your eyes your lancemates before the match starts? That's what we're talking about, but you see the enemy team for a split second, and it's fairly easy to determine chassis, if not variant, by visual ID.

I've experienced this a few times too in the past, when I was playing the game. Rarely I saw anything about enemy team's composition though xD

Personally I can remember having this on almost every map. A DxDiag file can be provided if necessary.

Glad I could help ;)

I experience this as well. I've had times I was playing with my TS group and the first thing that happens is for example, I drop on the factory/chemical plant side of Caustic... right in front of me are two or even three mechs, two spiders, a jenner, while I'm in a commando...

Then there's a flash and I'm dropped on the otherside by the lake with my team. I'm literally groaning, oh no... not spiders! My team asks what that you're on about? I'm like, uhm... I know they have spiders on the other team, two and a jenner. No, I'm not psychic, no I didn't drop with them... don't ask.

Anyways, it happens, quite often - however the usefulness of it is not every drop that it does it. Often when you spawn you have no other mechs in view... or see one appear in front of you as if it's lightly dropping out of the sky from about knee height. Very often either nothing to see or not enough of a chance to really scope what's there... but those few times like seeing the spiders and jenner, it made a difference to how our team played, definitely convinced people not to go get seperated from the pack or try as much "lone snipering".

It isnt only Frozen Colony and River City. Ive seen it happen quite often on Crimson Strait, Mordor and Mordor day-brown (Terra Therma and Caustic).

I think we can assume that it is not a bug with any particular maps, but something in the matchmaker or the spawning algorithms.

Same w/ me. It is highly unusual. And unfortunately useful XD.

Maybe it is SatCom and Drones giving us info before they get shot down...

Or maybe we get an aerial view as we fall from the dropship!!

Also seen this, but fairly infrequently. No clue on any sort of a pattern.
