While this deal covers a lot more than just MWO, he does bring it up pretty heavily when it comes to beta games.

Starts at 14:50 and goes on for about 4 minutes.

Yea, Angry Joe is pretty spot on. He makes me feel a bit like a fool for spending money on a Beta LOL, but he is sort of right.

I spent money on an unfinished product that PGI has no imediate motivation to complete, and I have no one to blame but myself. I am a bit wiser now though, so it was a tough (and pricy) lesson.

I was actually thinking about buying into Elite Dangerous, but after my experience with MWO, I am waiting for a finished game. I think the people at Star Citizen may feel the same sting as us. We will see I suppose.

Again, I might throw some more money PGI's way, but not until I see this game finished. Still, I feel I have spent enough money as it is. We will see, maybe if they wow me in 2 more years...ok I kid, but really I will need to see a proper functioning CW.

Then he sets up an epic strawman and conflates the worst elements of /b/ with everyone who has a beef with Sarkeesian.

Meh.

I really felt like I got screwed over by Blizzard when I bought Diablo 3, it was border-line unplayable once you reached 'Inferno' difficulty. I really felt that they did this on purpose. Basically, every time someone managed to actually beat it on Inferno, that character build got 'hot-fixed' (aka super, often over, nerfed). After this went on for a while, they watered down Inferno, and made it playable. Blizzard had an awesome reputation for releasing games that worked, I pre-ordered both Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2, and after finding both disappointing, especially at launch, I lost faith in Blizzard. I'll never pre-order another one of their products again. Both of those titles as well as MWO remind me of a part in the movie "Spaceballs" "Out in stores before the movie is finished!"

These companies probably made a killing off of these titles, but seriously harmed the future of repeat business. Gamers have long memories.

Really? THAT is what got you? Not the absolute devastation of variety due to the complete revamp of the skill system (no more javazons, jabazons, etc...)? Not the RMAH, a travesty which they are only just now remedying? Not that nonsense with putting our real names on the forums (not that it's so hard to e-stalk someone if you really REALLY want to, but come on...).

I'll check this video out when I get home, though I suppose that he's going to say what many people have been saying here for ages.

As it has been mentioned in the first response, AJs language is not compatible with the MWO code of conduct.

If you find a video with only the part about controversy 6, you can post that to the news section, as there isn't anything in that part, that confilcts with the CoC and it's also the part that talks about MWO. The whole video has go to K-town though.

Yes yes, all of that too, but I was relating to the Angry Joe video about 'paying to be a beta tester'.

And what's K-town?

K-town is the place where good threads go to die.

And bad ones too.

(It's a subforum where posts get moved at the discretion of the moderators).

The entire feedback portion of the forums would like to disagree with you about that.

HOWEVER: Angry Joe's video violated even the original CoC - which is why it keeps getting sent to K-Town.

@OP this is a valid point, and not meant to be in K-Town

However, welcome!
