Well basicly the tech for pinpoint targeting like that had been lost due to centuries of war. If you pay attention to the lore it explains why aiming was difficult and in no way pin point.
The thing is, the shots are not going to where the person is aiming, the game is converging their shots for them, a computer calculating convergence does not equal skill.
does it? In CS, the best players are the ones who can control the movement sway perfectly and control the gun recoil so the shots always go where they want.
I had advocated for a movement sway system in the past, where moving makes you less accurate, but stopping and/or being still makes you a lot more accurate. IMO, a system where your shots always go exactly where you shoot does not equal skill either. Hell, I could just play a flash game at this point since it would be the same thing.
Do you know many FPS with 0 recoil/movement sway?

I think you miss read my post, I stated that a computer (a computer meaning the server, not a battle computer on the mech as that tech was lost) converging your shots for you DOES NOT equal skill. I think we are on the same page otherwise hehe
I probably should have stuck with using the wording "the game is converging their shots for them" instead of using the word computer as some people may think I ment the fictional computer in the mech, which is not what I ment at all, sorry for any confusion on my end.

ah, well we're on the same page then. I completely misread what you said

Personally, I think the game is way too easy right now, especially for direct fire weapons users.
