From a technical stand point I do not understand why a Gauss-rifle should need a capacitor that dissipates fully within less than 2 seconds. As it is a linear motor real science Suggests that charge would not be completely dispelled Instead a much larger charge (capable of firing 3 shots at max capacity) should be held for about 25 seconds (with a timer) then slowly drain away….. and after that a further 15 seconds to hold button down and recharge you capacitor. People could get off more accurate shots but less shots in the long run making people accountable for their own recharge and mistakes..
this would also see a fall in dual G-rifle builds only the really skilled would be able to use it. And it would be more rewarding. then they could be used as they are meant to be
i would love to see them work like this
(full charge) = 15 energy points
(1 shot) = 5 points
3 shots in all.
i have not sorted everything out of course its just a general idea to a current system that is repudiated (google it) by most of the community
