Hope the surgery goes well.

Here's my crackpot Hunchback LRM 40 that actually works suprisingly well (to me as a total nubee - 300+damage is common for me with this build):

HBK-4J, LRM 20x2, STD 200, TAG

Ya, I know there's no BAP and it's still only Std Heatsinks, but I'm trying to limit my investment in this exact mech as I want to try a similar build with a Shadow Hawk when I get done grinding my hunchies. I threw away the two ML for more ammo since I wasn't able to defend myself from lights with just two lazers anyway, and if I'm all alone, it's bye bye time no matter what.....

future moifications: DHS, and investigate using a smaller engine for BAP, Artemis, and/or more ammo.

(I absolutely love that TAG in the head)

wow 121 kph with LRM 20 that looks dam fun

You have enough space to add Ferror Fiberous and gain one tonn
Or you acn shave arm armor down to 24 each to fit BAP in or drop a combination of cockpit armor and arm armor

you know because sometimes
just for fun builds turn out to be effective...

Lots of non-artemis, non-TAG bad builds.

Despite good intentions, newbies should give this one a pass.

Long story short, the author had great intentions and not even too terrible of a core build understanding, but at the same time, has missed several key components of a successful LRM build in the majority of his designs. I highly advise new players steer clear from these builds, unless you want to modify them as again, they aren't bad in the base.

My LRM guide can be found at http://mwomercs.com/...m-commandments/ and I am more than happy help anyone with their builds. Just remember folks, every LRM build should have: TAG, BAP, Artemis.

EDIT: A few also appear to violate Ghost Heat and minimum anti-AMS limits, but it's partly due to the chassis they're on, I'm sure.

Fair criticism and tanks (you make me sound like a villian leading newbies into sin and damnation

Do understand though that the 'combat' lrm builds typically leave a slot open/option for TAG and they are not a 'LRM dedicated boat' more rather a mech with lrm's to help at range and yes LRM builds such as the dragon AC 10/OTHERS builds mixed with lrm's do NOT exceed the minimum LRM 25 effective number because they are not lrm boats (with a different playstyle)

Many have seen my Shooting Lrm's from afar and go to attack me expecting a easy kill but its far from that
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...66e015b66953820

Artemis is up for debate though it certanily helps but adding artemis on some of these builds would severely hinder them or slow them down so its a disadvantage and advantage all that artemis tonnage it is

Such as this
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...8bc66a6adf2a1c0 You would see quite a bit of KPH loss to stick Artemis in and that would require switching from the more fast firing lrm 5's to a slower firing LRM 15 with more spread

Ghost heat ones have been corrected now at least

All of the LRM 'boats' carry BAP, and tag while near or above 85 KPH and are all above the minimum 25 LRM effecive number however do not carry artemis

Edit: appears ill have to reorganize this even more into builds that are purely LRM 'Boat's and those that are not such as the hunchbacks for now - Hence the topic title UNFinished)

X-5 - 124.7 KPH - 215 armor - 2 medium lasers - 1 lrm 15 - 1 lrm 10
