Been the same four champion mechs forever it seems. Could we maybe get the trial mechs changed up more often devs?

I suggested this before. But then PGI just ignored me and continued to do their stuff.

One has changed each month for the last four months, as new champions are released. Medium has changed twice since Heavy last did, oddly, but it has not been "the same four" forever. CDA just came in, HGN before that, BJ before that and SDR before that.

I do hope they change the heavy next month, it's the best mech class for new players IMO and that Dragon is not a good example. A decently built CTF would be much, much better.

Variety for its own sake is pointless. Trial mechs are simply a vehicle for noobs to accumulate C-bills. The only requirement is that they are somewhat viable in combat, which I feel the current lineup mostly is.

They do need to retire the Dragon© though. One could argue that a well built trial is a precursor to a horrific weapon nerf so be very careful wishing for more.

I found the trial Dragon to be incredibly fun to run. Really the only downside to it is that it lacks an advanced zoom module but that will be the case on any trial mech. But I do agree they need to swap it out as it has been there for a bit.

I tried it for a couple games before I figured out the "new Gauss." Maybe I'll give it another look. I still think a CTF or JM6 would be a more representative trial mech than either of the currently existing Heavy champions.
