I don't know why this isn't a feature yet, but I think if you're an ECM mech your bubble should show up on your minimap. This makes it 10x easier to give coverage to friendly mechs.

It would be even better if friendly mechs coudl also see your ecm bubble on their maps as well :0

Greetings,

I would think that having sensors advanced enough to detect and then display the info of a moving ECM field should only be available to the very high end sensor Mech's.

One system comes to mind immediately, the Command Console.
- which should have the abilities to show on the main map all the Companies emissions, ranges, and direction of movement/facing.

- This Command component should have the ability to display the ECM field(s) and who has coverage.
- It should be part of the Command and Tactics suite.

Giving a 'Role' task to this device and linking in various viewing options for the field commander, range overlay, emissions overlay, movement and tactics overlay, sensors overlay, targeting overlay.

From what I've seen in the short rides in spectator views, there are not a lot of Pilots that appear to even see the mini map during intense combat. Some Pilots are 'tunnel vision' on there targets and having any other sensor information may be 'overload' for some. It may be fine during non combat movement and flanking operations but when the carp hits the fan the mini map isn't even good enough for knowing what terrain is around your mech.

-The mini map is a small indicator now and adding in coloured bubbles for friendly ECM may be too much at that scale.
- If we had a dynamic zoom mini map there may be some benefits to knowing where your ECM fields are, but I still think that only 'advanced' systems should have the capability to display these.

(Yes, I hear those that say, "but we get a cockpit indicator telling us that we have ECM coverage", this is not the same as a terrain mapping of the entire field coverage.)

Just some thoughts,
