so, here's the error: http://i.imgur.com/0cmDFXT.png

And here's what happens:

I built a new mech, a jenner, if it matters.
When I try to start a match with my game running in the background ( alt tab, after running game in windowed mode) ,
it crashes when I try to alt-tab back to the game.
It then gives me the error message shown above and when I click OK, it fully quits MWO.
When I start the game again, my mech is shown as in-game so I can't use it.
This doesn't happen when I use other mechs, not even if I alt-tab.
I'm running on windows 7, 8 GB ram, GTX 460 768 mb graphics card, Intel core i7-950 cpu.

Greetings,

See this Reddit thread for comments and possible fix's:
http://4x.reddit.com...yengine_errors/

They use the MWO repair tool, even one comment about a bad Ram stick.

Now just out of curiosity, why are you Alt tabbing in and out of the MWO UI. Changing instances of applications has effects on what process can be initiated within windows. (and may directly cause your problems)
- are you tabbing out for a Ts or chat program?
- try running game in full screen mode.
- Try selecting the "Jenner" then closing down the MWO interface, reopen it, select the mech again and attempt to start a game. No alt/tabbing.
- Is the Mech fully capable of working, not over weight, has engine, all components legit.
(have seen non functional Mech's do this when trying to get into a game.)

Find the repair tool here:
http://mwomercs.com/...public-release/

Note: The latest version of the game may have some issues with the "repair tool", the repair tool has not been updated for some time and the games files have had some "folder" changes. So be advised.

> Your system is fine, nothing should be stopping you from entering a match with that Mech, unless the Mech is corrupted somehow.
(might want to look at a second monitor for any chat or Ts programs to run on during gamming. You Vid card can handle it.)

Thank you for the reply.
I alt-tab because I multi task a lot, IE browsing the internet, picking music to listen to, writing stuff or drawing stuff before a game starts.
There are no Ts or chat programs running, just browser windows, Email, skype( is a chat program, but still) and stuff like that.
I've used the jenner often after using other mechs first, so it's a legit build.
I use a Cintiq 21UX tablet with weird dimensions (1600x1200) so fullscreen makes things look a bit off, at least that's how it feels to me, which is why i run in windowed mode.
I'll give the repair tool a try.
I'm going to play soon so I'll keep you up to date.

Greeting,

Ok, on the Wacom monitor.(I also have a Wacom smaller pen tablet) But if things look a bit off when in game, you can set whatever resolution from within the MWO UI "options" menu. [to better "balance" the image]

My monitors are 1920 x 1080 default resolution but I run the game at 3840 x 720.
[3 monitors spanned in full screen mode]

For your 1600 x 1200 res. you might want to look at either the 1600 x 900 or the 1600 x 1024 settings. (only happens/changes when in game.) [UI2.0 will change all this as it is full screen all the time.]
- And I find staying close to the default monitor resolution gives the best sharpness and operation.

- That's a lot of "stuff" going on behind the game, and may effect the game's ping or resources requirements.
- Also insure that everything involved with the game is being run at administrator level.
- The error may be due to the game no longer being the "priority" program when it's tabbed out. And if it needs higher permission to access anything during the launch operation tabbing the game will have an effect on the status of the request.

Advise what you find.
