With some help I overhauled my useless Oxide !

Well at least I thought it was a useless pile of mini pig iron. With the new build out, some piloting skill and swift kick in the *** to KEEP MOVING it rocks! The Oxide can do some damage and you can have a lot of fun destroying LRM boats…….

GL HF

3rd run with new build.....

yeah i like my oxide, good for a kill or two a match if i don't do something stupid- though it takes a bit longer to actually finish something since streaks go wherever. fighting a cicada earlier and took off an arm, leg, other arm, CT and other leg both red, fired a couple more alphas...and someone else walked by and killed it. :)

actually got me to play other jenners since i wanted to master it, had the sarah's mech but was kinda bad in it. then i discovered the Jenner F and all was good. now the F and oxide are becoming my favorites and i never really played lights due to my trouble with the speed before and not wanting to have to play an ECM mech. all i had before this was the Locusts.

but yeah oxide is a blast, even had to do my first multi-ecm lockdown break today during that cicada fight (they had 2 cicadas and a spider all ecm) but fortunately they didn;t chase when i ran and were split when i got back.

Gotta carry that UAV just in case. In which case 2ecm users + movement, or really anything over 50 tons will do just fine.

Useless? I hardly ever get under 600 damage but do over 1k with it daily. Think my best round was 1165 with 5 kills. I just cant keep from playing it, despite my real fear of buying it. (actually had a couple drinks when I did lol)

What's your build Dozier? If I were guessing, I'd say you put in BAP, an XL280, and 5 tons of ammo for 4x streaks. (with a touch of armor cheating)

Wow with that damage you must have alot more streak tonnage than I do!

Personally I dont use streaks on my oxide. I run twin SRM 4s and twin SRM 6s. Thing packs a punch. Yea the rockets can tend to spread out but i find getting slightly closer with the speed helps. Great for hit and runs on big mechs. And I have yet to run into issues dueling lights with SRMs. A lot of the time I can see damage ranging from 350-800ish depending on what I did that map.

Super fun! Really challenging with the SRMs VS lights but it is great when you can get on the side of a catapult or atlas and pop them, run away and come back and do it again! The hate towards this mech feels unguided.. I own the Jenner D(s) and its one of my favorite mechs. Yes I find I can do more in it but that doesnt make oxide any less wonderful to drive and use. Not to mention its cheap to!
