Never.

Instead, all of us Battlemaster owners will get monocles and top hats for our sexy, exclusive mechs.

I tried out the BattleMaster today.... it seems overly HOT... I actually shutdown on a snow map and got Cored instantly.... idk..

The Locust is just worthless... the Battlemaster seems to overheat alot... but I did have fun with the Shadowhawk today... and I ABSOLUTELY HATE ALL MEDIUM MECHS IN THIS GAME... so take that whats it worth...

BattleMaster I can't find a good build with it yet... atleast the Pheonix Variants

The Project Phoenix mechs are slated to release for CBills one per month. Next month is the Shadowhawk, December is the Thunderbolt, and January is the Battlemaster I believe.

This is correct.

Dunno, I'm loving mine, and had no trouble making a managable build. Its all in your snazzy Smurfy love. Its not like any mech is inherently hot or cool, its all about equipped weapons vs. qty of heatsinks.

I only discovered 1 build that performs realy well, after trying about 20 different setups, and getting stomped with all of them (besides the BLR-1S, which performs AWESOME as a LRM-Boat)

BLR-1G 'Sharpshooter'

bring a seismic sensor and the advaced zoom module.
you are a 85-ton sniper, with loads of armor, nice heat efficiency and you can change position realy quick.

funny fact: you can build this with all BLR-variants :)

I second that.

I thought PGI said it was slated for a January 2014 release.

I like it for the most part. It doesn't "look" much like a battlemaster but it is still fun to play. Very spacious cockpit views, and I am liking 6 energy weapon mounts very high on the torso. Lot of hardpoint options too. Like a laser hunchback with more armor and additional weapons.

For me the trickiest has been the BLR-1G because of the limited torso twist range. With three to four weapon groups this is what I have for the BLR-1G right now, but still looking to tinker.

The BLR-1D, three weapon groups to handle the heat.

And the BLR-1S, also using three weapon groups for heat.

Hope the ideas are helpful.

If your Battlemaster is running hot that is entirely on how you customized the mech. Don't blame the mech for your failures as an engineer.

Dont bother. The battlemaster is marginal at best. Terrible design for weapon loadouts and head hit-box that you can hit with every shot from an LBX at 200M. It feels like the PGI guys just threw these together without any actual thinking as to what you would build into an assault mech. Given that two of the variants are crippled by PGI's poor implementation of heat and that the third is relegated to an LRM or SRM boat this frame rates a MEH at best (for me its a "I spent real money for this...never again"). Sad part is the BLR-1G(P), the phoenix variant, is the worst variant of the three. You cant even load an AC20 on this mech.

Dont buy one, there are much better assaults out there. Really, the person who organized the hardpoints on these should use a more military mind when figuring out where things should go. Dont bother wasting real or fake money on this mech.

Couldn't disagree with you more. I'm absolutely loving the 1G(P). I equipped it with std 300, 19 heat sinks and six LLs in three groups and I've been rocking it with 600 to 900 damage every battle.

The hardest decision for me is do I like my Battlemaster more or my 3 AC2 Shadowhawk? Both are fantastic. Still trying to like the Thunderbolt though...

The Battlemaster 1D aka the Dakkamaster is also excellent! 3 AC/2!

The Battlemaster is mediocre at best. I would caution the OP to temper his enthusiasm.
