I would very much like it if at some point the devs would add the functionality to be able to place a weapon in a specific place on the mech and have it stay there. For example, if I have a hunchback 4P, I'd like to be able to put two small lasers at the top, two medium lasers in the middle, and two large lasers at the bottom of the hunch.

Pull the "offending" weapons and play a game without them.

But, I've only ever been **** about two weapons, not six

Good luck.

I don't see how that would help in any way.

it does make a difference when firing over hills and with LRM tube counts for example. It also makes a visual difference which some people are picky about.

Yeah, same here. I have a Griffin with an LRM15 and 2 SSRM2 in the same side torso.. sadly, the game insists on putting one of the SSRM2 in the drum launcher in the Griffins shoulder, and the LRM15 squatted somewhere in the mechs torso.. aesthetically less pleasing.
