It's just a pet peev of mine to have to wait for all 3 flashes of damage to subside before I see new health totals. For me it really breaks from the flow to literally wait to see the new damage take effect. I don't really know if this bothers anyone else, though; and it seems like something that'd be relatively easy to implement.

guess I haven't thought much about it. if I get shot, I tend to torso twist out of habit and worry about location later heh.

I experience it most when waiting to see enemy armour/health. It's cause I usually run high alpha builds like dual guass or dual PPC, so waiting to see where the good spot to hit really breaks from flow.
