So, today people started noticing some new google ads for MWO.

Specifically, these

http://pagead2.googl...347015762246932
http://pagead2.googl...735327514404020

The first is a Norseman (heavily modified Viking?), the second an Atlas III from TRO3145

Both are drawn by Shimmering Sword, here's the full versions from his DeviantArt

http://shimmering-sw...seman-290713234
http://shimmering-sw...avion-376186977

It doesn't make any sense to me why they're using SS art, or mechs that we probably won't ever see.

google adds are awful and misleading

and using art from a random guy on deviant art they probably didn't ask?! ^_^ (or did)

anyway neither of those mechs design style fit Mecharrior online or probably ever will be MWO

You shouldn't be surprised by PGI misleading people.

How is fact, tinfoil hat worthy? Try harder next time after removing your head from your fourth point of contact

Stop being willfully dense. You know as well as anybody that PGI has pulled a number of bait and switches. Whether it was intentional or not, the fact remains it's happened. And I'm not gonna waste my time digging up old threads just to appease your selective memory.

How do you unintentionally 'bait and switch'?
As for the rest, is it my selective memory, or is it you (and the others who are easily [redacted]) reaching for some injustice that isn't actually there?

Since he never said anything about intentionally misleading people, rather that PGI misleads people in general, I fail to see how it's tinfoil hat worthy since it's quite true, Malice or intent aside.

It's most certainly you. I was mistaken though. It's not your fourth point your head is so severely entrenched, but PGI's.

SS noticed they were using his art over on /tg/.

He does not appear to be amused.

Yeah I was a bit disappointed, though also amused, to see them goof up like this.

I've already sent them first contact, we'll see what happens.

I wouldn't be either. If someone ripped some of my music that I make in my spare time, I would be pissed mostly because of the principle behind it, not so much that they could possibly make money off of it.
