111ton drop slot for everyone


Everyone gets 111tons worth of stuff to drop onto the game.
This would stop all disadvantage of not taking an assault, and have even more customization of what to bring.

For example
1\ You could blow it all on an Atlas and a 10ton drop harness (10% total weight) and a 1ton of coolant.
2\ An 70 ton heavy with a 6.5ton drop harness (10%(-1%per jump jet) total weight), with 10ton defence turret, air strike & artillery strike 5ton each, 3ton of coolant, 0.5ton drop coordinator (pick your starting position) +4 ton of other stuff.
3\ An 50 ton medium 5ton drop harness, with punch out early re-spawn 55tons, +1ton of stuff.
4\ An 35ton light 3ton drop harness, with punch out early re-spawn 38tons, with 10ton defence turret, air strike & artillery strike 5ton each, 4ton of coolant, +11ton of other stuff.

Command console = air strike & artillery strike 5ton each extra

It's a suggestion, LOL

PGI is considering a respawn/dropship game mode anyway. So it's not a bad idea. However that system might be a bit too much in favour of lights. However I like the idea of a bit more team wide utility to choose from.

I guarantee you that the dropship will be a static scenery piece already on the ground, and the respawns will just be you spawning outside of said dropship in the same way we currently do in game lol

Have they said something new since that one post where they said "lol nope, no respawning, we decided to make it so that you can pick four mechs when you hit launch, and then you pick ONE of those four to use in a given match, after seeing what map you got"?

LOL, who knows, I think I saw something that says it'll be respawn like, but between twitter and vague CC posts, the answer is maybe.

I honestly don't care all that much one way or the other, myself, but I have a buddy that is holding out for the introduction of respawning or the re-introduction of knockdown (which he didn't even use- he just liked watching me play Ben Hur :P).

The pick your mech thing is not dropship mode its just the step toward keeping things balanced when you can start choosing your map.

I think the dropship mode fopr limited respawns was canned and has not been revived at all.
