I saw AC40s running today and still having success.

I swapped my S to 3 AC5 4 ML though for something new.

My D runs 2 LBX and 4 MG and 2 ML.

The problem with that Annihilator in MWO is that it would hardly have any downside. I win buttons are fun in PVE, but not PVP.

Can't handle AC rounds moving slower, declares mech he used to boat AC20s useless.

I've seen people get results from dual Gauss. But I guess the JM6-DD can't do that, right?

I've seen people get good mileage out of 6xMG and 2 PPC/ERPPC/LPL. But, oh, yeah, the JM6-DD is useless.

Well, you are a good example of one.

I wasn't telling you to try something else. I was saying that declaring the mech useless because one build has been nerfed is whining. It's like some teenager that cries about how their life is ruined because their parents won't let them go out on Friday night. It's annoying and makes one really want to slap the stupid out of them.

Just earlier today I saw a lance of AC40 Jagers. They waited until the whole rest of their team had been murdered (and softened us up), then came out of their hole and wrecked face. It wasn't pretty.

That's pretty unequivocal. You're stating something as though it were fact despite it being categorically untrue. AC20 is still alive and well, and by extension so are two of them. In fact, the change in muzzle velocity to the AC10 arguably made the AC20 still the superior choice.

Take 5 minutes out of your day to adjust your lead and your cheese boat will be fine.

*shrug* If you can neither figure out what else to do with a -DD, or figure out how to use AC20s at their closed beta muzzle velocity then you clearly need the info.

Noone seems to have addressed your main point though, which is that you feel that 2 AC20s on a Jaegar was terribly nerfed.

You are correct about one thing - yes, AC20s were nerfed, but by only a tiny amount. After playing 5 games with my AC40 Jaegar to test the changes, I realised that the bullets move only marginally slower at around 300m as they did before.

So. <300m, practically unnoticeable. >300m it has gotten slightly harder, but cmon man, this nerf was designed to reduce the spam of AC40 Jaegars that Im sure you noticed, sometimes I spawn in a lance with 2 other AC40 jaegars while soloing.

Just like when every 3rd mech was a 6PPC stalker, they nerfed PPCs. I still see 4 or 5 PPC/LL stalkers, so some players obviously just didnt care.

I barely noticed a difference in my mech performance, and so will continue to play my AC40 until such time it gets a REAL nerf!

Not at all useless. Still perfectly relevant and playable. The slower shell velocity while noticeable is negligible once adjust to it.

That he declares DDs usless becase "there is only one loadout for it".

Well I do love my DD but I would never waste it by puting AC20s in it, my low heat, high DPS build lets me move fast with a standard engine and smack those AC40 builds around.

Why do AC40 from JM6-DD? Only mech in the game having 6 ballistic slots has many more funny builds.
