I record/stream just using Open Broadcaster Software (it's open source) and I haven't had any problems with it, it's pretty easy to use as well.

I also use OBS and recommend it highly. It's got a big learning curve to it (at least to me), but it does a good job recording stuff.
Sometimes I also use Shadowplay by Nvidia. I like it too.

OBS is nice for streaming and recording. Bandicam is also pretty good for just recording things (the free version has a watermark). I personally wasn't too happy with Shadowplay having weird issues with full window settings since I have multiple monitors.

yeap..its similar to fraps and its not only for video capturing it other features too like vga oc and stuff...
