So I have some great drops... been playing for well over a year.. and for the first time.. it felt like my XP was {Scrap}????
I do 450 damage , kills, components... and then I see 650 xp or something??? in my Grid Iron?
Did we have a XP nerf or something?

Is It Me Or Is There Something Wrong With Xp? I Have A Good Drop Or 2 And ?

Kills give very little xp and cbills. Assists and savior kills plus tag/spot bonuses is where the real xp rolls in.
I routinely get over 120k cbills and 1500 xp in my scout spider because I scout with it rather than engage. I do less than 150 damage yet I rack up assists and savior kills with my ER LL along with the TAG and UAV bonuses.
If you do damage only and get kills only (very little assists/savior) you will get that low xp and cbills. I get low yield win maps in my stalker lrm boat even though I get 5 kills and do over 500 damage all because the kills are mainly CT pops (others put the ct in red while other armor pieces are still yellow..lrms melt the red armor and pop the ct).

Naa man, I knew something was wrong. In fact I took a screen shot, sent it in. Something just went wacked.. I was playing and did 500 damage in a drop... X2 xp or not... You can still rake in 1k xp from a 500 damage drop.
Nope... I got 432 xp from a 523 damage drop? lol... I logged out came back and it went way up like it should ... not crazy amount but 1k plus

Again, no. In my LRM boat I also do over 500 damage yet get poor xp and cash on the win. All because I had very little assists and savior kills... despite having destroyed several enemy mechs with the LRMs.
Essentially, focusing on one target at a time and nailing them to your killboard counts less than helping your friends nail someone.
Go play a dual AC20 jager (mine is dual AC20 with an LL and a med laser). You will get lots of damage. You will be the slayer of all moving things in any map. Your XP and credits will be sub-par to your performance because this build is a 'finish him' build. Something comes into your face and you smite him off the map in one or two salvos. You get the kill shot not the assist... if the enemy is shooting at YOU then you dont get savior kill. If friendlies are not shooting at your target then you get no spotter bonus either.
I checked my screenshots of battle results and roughly this is what you earn per item in Cbills/XP
Damage:
21cbills per 1 point of damage.
0 XP per damage inflicted. Damage gives no XP. Only kills/assists/etc do.
--- Your 523 damage would've earned you only 10.9k cbills from damage alone----
Kills:
4k cbills per kill (avg, this varies depending on tonnage difference between your mech and killed mech)
100 xp average per kill (this varies depending on tonnage difference between your mech and killed mech)
Kill Assists:
6500 cbill per kill assist
9.5xp per kill assist (number taken from a screenie with 12 assists, 0 kills netted me 114xp)
Component Destruction:
2100 cbill
0 xp
(taken from a screenie with 1 component destroyed listed)
Savior kills:
6500 cbill per savior kill
150xp per savior kill
Note: You can earn savior kills even if you don't actually kill the enemy mech. Your weapon has to hit the target within a second before it dies and the enemy mech had last hit a friendly mech that had critical damage/red/no armor in CT)
Spotting Assist
~1000 cbill per assist
~10 xp per assist
This is hard to gather from the screenie stats since the info is not given. You can see the reward onscreen in the system info spam though. Spotting Assists are gained when you are holding target lock on an enemy mech and a friendly fires a missile at it and it hits. Only awarded once per enemy mech per friendly mech per map.
TAG/NARC
Rewards are identical to Spotting Assists from what I can see in my screenies/recall in game. Works the same way..you just have to TAG or NARC an enemy and you get the xp/cbill once per map per enemy mech per friendly mech that hits it with a missile.
C-ECM:
1500 cbills per C-ECM once per map per enemy ECM mech
150 xp per C-ECM once per map per enemy ECM mech
UAV
UAV rewards match Spotting Assist and C-ECM rewards. It also has 'UAV Detection' bonus which is earned once per map per enemy mech that walks under its detect range. Those rewards seem to be : 500 cbill & 50xp per mech detected.
Win:
25000 cbill
300 xp

From what i can tell depending on what game mode your in Assault or Conq. this is what you'll make:
win/loss = 25000 cbills ----- win=300-600xp ----- loss=100xp
1kill = 4300 cbills ----- 90-205xp ----- teamkill= -10000cbills ----- -150xp
1assist = 6500 cbills ----- 10-60.4xp
1component = 1100-2100 cbills ----- 15-30xp
1damage = 21 cbills
1spotting = 1100-2100 cbills ----- 25-50xp
1narc/tag = 1100-2100 cbills ----- 25-50xp
1savior/defensive = 1300 cbills?? ----- 25-50xp
win/loss = 25000 cbills ----- win=300-600xp ----- loss=100xp
1kill = 4300 cbills ----- 90-205xp ----- teamkill= -10000cbills ----- -150xp
1assist = 6500 cbills ----- 10-60.4xp
1component = 1100-2100 cbills ----- 15-30xp
1damage = 21 cbills
1spotting = 1100-2100 cbills ----- 25-50xp
1narc/tag = 1100-2100 cbills ----- 25-50xp
1savior/defensive = 1300 cbills?? ----- 25-50xp

as far as i know assist and kill xp is counted from damage you did to the section of mech that killed him like... mech died on CT you did there 5 damage and you get little xp... if you did lets say 50 you will get much more
also this is varied if you did 5 damage to locust and 5 damage to atlas well for locust you still get a decent share while for atlas you get almost nothing
however if you did lets say that 50 damage to CT of mech and some boomjager comes by and headshots the guy while you never hit head YOU WILL NOT GET ASSIST
the difference between assist and kill is killing is much more xp rewarded... even if you did minimum damage you still get a lot of xp while assist nets you more money
