So, when does this game feel the most like "Mechwarrior" to you? What moment made you say to yourself "I'm in a giant stompy robot, and what I did just felt perfectly legit."

For me? Sneaking up behind a locust who was hiding behind a building firing of an ERLL...with my DDC and one-shotting it. The smallest of 'mechs crumpling to the overwhelming firepower of the largest.

Ironically, in terms of game balance I think the locust is far too squishy, but right then? It just felt good :D

The whole game feels like a Mechwarrior game to me (minus the interesting story anyway), but the thing I like the most is B*tchin Betty. When they added her voice, it really started feeling like a MechWarrior game to me :D

Betty really enhanced it for me too. Plus the startup animation.

I wish there'd be more info presented in the cockpit, use of the MFDs, etc.

considering all the game is, is nothing more then battles I would say it has yet to feel like Mechworrior. they have made a pretty good Battletech simulator, but without any rpg elements to interact with it isn't Mechwarrior ( choosing clan logo's is not enough).

with that said, the first time it really felt like I was piloting a mech what the first time I took my spider into the enemy lines and ran circles around all the heavys and assaults as they ended up doing more damage to each other then to me. - good time.

Draggin myself through Crimson Straits with one leg in my Shadow, constantly plugging a centurion, lost everything except that, and just managed to get the kill.
match end.
felt great.

Ever Play a Stalker with crapload of weapons, ammo, heatsinks? Betty would not shut up for 30 seconds naming everything I lost while I am battling for my life...

Some weekend night 12-mans when we play casual non-meta builds only and actually find other groups who are doing the same thing. Very fun matches and it feels like MechWarrior.

Conquest, on Tormaline Desert.
Rolled to kappa in my Commando 2D from the uphill side of the map, got the partial cap and was assulted by a spider 5K. Streaked the hell out of it taking a leg, but was interupted by his reinforcements. Scurried back to the hillside upset I hadnt gotten the kill. Remembered.. I have an artillery strike! I stood on the hill top glaring at the spider and his pathetic uni legged mech decapping kappa, so I placed the red smoke at hs feet and began to laugh manically. Rounds engulfed kappa in glorious high explosive death, when the smoke cleared all that remained were the smoking ruins of my prey. It was an amazing moment.
