When? Right now! Who? Anyone who wants! Only six of us Nova Cats online at the moment, but if anyone wants to do duels, feel free to drop into our TS:

novacat.teamspeak3.com

*Clearly only going to work if we can get 24 total players on.

No AC40 seems pretty reasonable.

Well, this is turning out fun. :P

Edit:

I want to thank everyone who joined us tonight. Members of Jade Falcon, Ghost Bear, Wolf, Star Adder, and Nova Cat dropped in 6 matches. The first two were custom medium mechs, the third through sixth were the current trial mechs in sequential order from light to assault. All participants fought with honor and skill.

Fun, fun night of fighting!

I had actually forgotten how fun dueling was. I used to do it all the time in MW3 and MW4, but never really had a chance to practice it in MWO until last night. Had some high performers last night, too. That first drop with 4 kills. The last drop with 5 kills. I would be lying if I said I was not proud of the five kills I got in the Cicada match on Terrible Therma.... :)

We have battleROM footage being worked on from the matches last night. When they are available, I will post the links here for you all. All taken from Flareheart's perspective, however.

Yes I had a great time, it felt good to be fighting some of the best this game has to offer. And for it to be all Clan members just make it all the better. I shall look forward to the next duels, and may it bring honor to all our names.

What is more honorable than warriors of the Clans meeting in formal combat?

I believe I won every match I played in. Or maybe once. Yeah, probably once. In either case, it was great fun and I believe this is something we have really needed for a very long time.

Let's not let this be a one time thing...dummies.

We could probably turn it into a contest next time. After the set number of drops are done, add up total number of kills per player. Pilot with the most kills wins. Wins what? Bragging rights, perhaps? An entry in their Clan's remembrance? A notation on their codex, at least!

Eh I think damage is another factor that we should consider. The reason I say this is that I went through 4 duals our first round and I got three outa 4, with the most damage in the game, but I didn't get the 4th kill. But it`d just be a tie breaker. But I think bragging rights is enough :P. Idk about yall but being able to say outa 24+ player you had the most wins/kills in 1v1 combat shows your skill. But that is jut me.

The only reason I would avoid damage as anything other than a tie breaker would be because the more precise you are the lower your damage will be. Say, for example, ~80 damage to side torso kill a Dragon vs ~160 to bludgeon it to death, the 80 is more impressive, quiaff?

Edit: And in that sense, the LOWER the damage dealt to achieve the same amount of kills should be rewarded as the tie breaking decision, no?

Not always, I know that higher damage means more duels and more well armored opponents. I mean, I know that in most of the duels I fought they were almost full armored and even after the first fight, they were still fully armored. So I think is a tie breaker, but that's just my opinion, if someone has a better idea be my guest and speak up, I want these duals to be awesome.

Certainly plenty of time to discuss the structure and scoring. All I know is I had a blast and I cannot wait to see Flareheart's battleROM footage of the fights. A bowl of popcorn, some good duel footage, and I am set.

It might help to clarify what we consider a good form of Zellbriggen, in CGB we believe legging to be perfectly acceptable, seeing as it is not the inata-win button it has been in previous MW titles, but I noticed reluctance to do so at times, so a unified code for inter-clan zell could be helpful

I'd say for a tiebreaker, have them fight each other and see who wins. :D

In fighting games, for example, it was and is always best out of 3, anyways.
