Ran into something interesting, apparently if you're running Google Chrome to check forums in between matches, it could be responsible for lag spikes. Particularly depending on the Apps you have loaded on it. It not only "pre-fetches" when you're not actively browsing, but allows the apps (like music) to sync up and eat your bandwidth as well. Just a heads up.

Chrome is quite the hog. It can and will have processes open well after Chrome itself has been closed.

Good tip Rage! ;)

You didn't know? It does a lot of "funny" other things, too (like giving your Browser a number, and sending information to google, so they can basically collect data on your behaviour in the web.

DONT USE CHROM. at least not if you dont wanna be that cheap...
If you use it, download "Kill-ID" for Chrome, solves most issues somehow (but you violate googles enduser agreement)

ALTERNATIVE: based on the Chromium sourcecode (so essentially the same as Chrome, even a bit faster), completely free and they dont sniff around in your privacy: "SRWare Iron". I am happy with that

I know that running Chrome causes me to CTD or freeze up. I always attributed it to Flash issues as that is what the client uses (or am I wrong on that?)

Been thinking about updating FireFox and blocking flash and anything else I can to use between matches.

Will look up the SRWare Iron so thanks for the tip!
