PGI: Let us outfit and play a mech in a limited number of games before purchasing. Limit it to something like 3 to 5 matches.
Especially MC-only mech's like Heros and Champions, you'd probably sell way more if we could get a chance to play with them first.
For new players, this would be a great way to try out different chassis without having to wait months for the Trial Mechs to circulate.

I think it should be for testing grounds, but otherwise no.

Yeah, why not - at least be able to take a test drive in the testing grounds or something. I've wanted a feature like this, especially for hero mechs.

I would only agree if it was:
1. Testing Grounds only.
2. Base loadout of every variant only -- no customization whatsoever.
You get an idea of what the chassis can do this way, which is what you are asking for. You want to customize it? Fork over the C-Bills or MC to purchase the 'Mech.
