Out of all the "brawler"builds that i have tried and experimented with, this is by far my favorite. One of the fastest around, and packing quite a bit of firepower, this build will greatly increase your chances of survival in a firefight. If you don't like the Ultra's, you can switch them out for regular AC/5's. Great heat efficiency and backup lasers are always helpful. The large laser mounted on the shoulder is fantastic for poking enemies from behind a ridge, while I find the medium pulse laser on the arm great for damaging legs and center torsos. As always the Ultra's are incredibly powerful when used right, or chain fired for high DPS. 86.6 KPH and jump jet(s) give this build great maneuverability and if you elite this phract, it feels 20 tons lighter.

Try it out and let me know what you think!

put all your lasers on the side with the canons.

try playing that way..

one side soaks damage other deals it. also it's easier when pop out from cover as only 1/3rd of the mech needs to show vs 100% cause of your other arms weapon.

try this build... and also only need 1 jump jets on Cataphracts.
Should get to most places that the extra tons could be better spent elsewhere

It would be a better build if you made the LL an ERLL, as you said it has great heat so why not? Also speed is great believe me i get that, but what you need to do is make the engine smaller for another MPL in the opposite arm, OR better yet replace the MPL with 2 regular medium lasers(one in each arm) then it would be much better.

Since he is running an XL, I don't know if I would advise doing that. If he was running a standard engine, then that would be a viable tactic IMO.

That is pretty good but no way you need 270 rounds for two UAC5s
Ditch ton or two and add some leg armor...

this one is closer to your build but swapped lazors for ERPPC

I run my -3D similarly but with the lower damage profile I insist on skipping the Ultras in favor of standard AC5's...

-340XL
- 2 x AC/5s
- 4 x mLas
- DHS
- Endo

You can run this thing with all JJs (again I insist of full maneuverability) full armor and front loading your armor... it's a tough and spry hombre!

@ 1.4+ heat dissipation... It's pretty hard to overheat truth be told...

If you're going to run an XL engine don't run it with a dead-side. You can't really expect to survive long if you use one side to consistently soak damage.

Here's a balanced lightweight build with a 30 point ranged/poptart alpha, a maximum 40 point alpha when all ranges are going, and can still pump 20 damage alphas out at point blank. Being heat manageable is also a bonus.

I hate the 3D, mine just sits in my mech bay with no engine or weapons. I would rather play my victor every time. I would also rather play my JM6-s with triple uac5 and melt faces.

This is a lot like my favorite build, but I have a slightly smaller engine and 3mlas to supplement the long arm of the LLas

I too enjoy seeing the armor disintegrate with trip-UAC/5's ISP... but i sold my jagers (somewhat regretably) and mastered the phracts and now ill never go back. (cept maybe for AC40) JJ's and much more armor than the Jager give the phract a clear advantage.

CTF-3D

Just small modifications, ammo to head because it's probably the safest place for it and that one ton in CT you will deplete really fast (the ammo is used first from CT).

Also medpulse<<<<<2 med lasers.

Earlier I took my duel gauss 3D for a spin and ended up in canyons which was bloody typical but I got stuck in anyway and got 4 kills, even got the last kill against a battlemaster with a 45 point alpha into his ct.

All phracts are decent but the 3D is just a pleasure to pilot.

Seems like a weird build. If it was me I would run twin arm mounted LLAS with AC-5s.

I don't get why people use UACs, the damn things constantly jam on the first doubletap negating their entire purpose. Rather have consistent AC damage than a 25% chance to be awesome.

Large laser, PPC, LB10X, AC10, two JJ's, endo + DHS, and an XL 255

Only two tons ammo for each ballistic but I like the flexibility of the loadout and don't mind the 64.9 kph speed

Or lose 6kph and add heatsinks so you can shoot your weapons more than twice times before overheating...
