Lol

And that isn't to say you have to love everything PGI does. It is to say that you logically dissect assets of the game and give helpful feedback.

Suggestion: have a "signed up members list" or something. I sign up
(i'd do my sig but it is full :/)

Exactly sir, now if we could just get the other forum warriors to follow this credo

Exactly why there should be a "members" list on your OP

Jesus dude he just started this yesterday. Cut him some slack. Besides you want him to take time out of his day to constantly update the number of people supporting his movement in this thread when it is much more productive in an advertizing sense for the people that support the movement to show they are supporters by adding the link to this thread in their sig?

No, no, he's right, I took upon that responsibility when I became the prophet of the Y.U.P. gospel

I wouldn't be one to join if it became even a semi-pseudo-official thing - I would probably support it, but no group I have ever joined has lasted a week.

(trust me - you really don't want me flying the purple raven - the clans would probably come from that direction this time!)

We bounced a few ideas around, but couldn't get a decisive vote on any of them.

While I consider myself a whiteknight, I am going to disagree mildly with #2 under certain circumstances. People paid good money for a series of promised deadlines and those deadlines were not remotely met. Ergo, said investors are mad. This isn't rocket science.

I'll agree on the rest of them, of course, but it's fair to say that the F2P development involves a lot of patience and flexibility from gamers that we Aspergers poster children don't naturally have. It's like asking acrophobics to take jobs washing windows on the Empire State building. Not a good match.

Even still, that doesn't magically transform an opinion into a fact. That's my point on that one. Just because someone doesn't like something doesn't make it a factual "imbalance" or some such.
2+2 = 4 (fact)
3+1 = 4 is a better equation than 2+2 (opinion)

People will respect PGI and their work. I don't care who I have to put 1/7th of a ton of steel into to get that.

My bad! lol

Well even still, in that case I'm talking about the gems of players that like doing things like discoing from a map, TKing, etc. to "protest" something they don't like about the game.
Now being unhappy with PGI and/or the game or aspects of the game? Hey that's cool, voice those concerns and dislikes all day long, but don't take it out on other players.
If you're THAT unhappy with this game, then don't play it. Let those who DO enjoy it, enjoy it in peace

The F2P model gives the illusion of democracy. "Pay to fund our game, because we're making it based off your desires." And then when the developer changes their mind en route, possibly to please a demographic wider than just BT purists, people feel betrayed and continue to believe that they should rightfully have a say. And to an extent, they should. The F2P model is even more open to the "pay with your wallet" approach than usual.

But I would prefer that people use their wallets instead of their keyboards. I think we're both hitting on the same principle from opposite ends, Sandpit.

I've advocated more players speaking with their wallets for a long time now. (The tag line on my profile still stands against the whole "you're on an island" fiasco and shows true)
I have and am speaking with my wallet. MWO hasn't seen and won't see a dime from me until I see something I merit as worthy of my money.

I have, in the past, made it a point to blast one of their 'mechs legs off, strip all of their weapons off, and leave them... and to encourage everyone else to do the same to them.

That has usually worked pretty well.

If they get too bad I just report them. The ones that have a good amount of time and money invested generally don't like to risk losing their accounts
