2-12 comes with launch module in April

Finally...the lance drop-limit is one of those things, for right or wrong, that's been keeping this game down...keeping it from truly growing.

Dude, I'm not thinking folks are gonna wait until April just to be able to play with their friends.

A lot of the organized units have already basically abandoned the game.

Maybe.. or maybe they'll just continue playing whatever games they have found in the meantime.

A big determining factor will probably be how developed Star Citizen is at that point, since it's captured a lot of the interest that many players once had for this game.

Sadtimes.
But i continue to hold out for a brighter future for this game.

to be fair, the state of the game is near-infinitely better than it was 6 months ago.

How in the world is Paul Inouye still on vacation? Does no one work in Canadia?

So, somebody posts a thread about a good thing happening, and people complain about it.

If PGI decided to give all players a $5 bill, people would complain about how they should be getting a full $120 for their Founder's Ripoff.

The removal of Lance Limits for the general Public Queue will be nice, but read through the full Command Chair Ready Screen, Private Match, and Public Match articles about the Launch Module (lobby and MM functionality). Some good info if you missed it.

Agree prosperity, at least this is on the horizon now, it's been over due for so long now, and has been the single largest missing function of the game in my opinion, I regularly play with my group and it's so common to have five players in the lobby, people are often polite enough to share turns but they shouldn't have to.

It'll also alleviate my most common complaint about the game, one match you could be playing with the SAS the next you could be playing with Dad's army (not sure if that analogy translates beyond the UK but you get the idea, one match crack fighters next people that can't read the radar or type).

I just hope that this comes with some sort of attempt to match up larger groups with larger groups or skilled players with skilled players.

They need to get this out ASAP. Waiting till April means some players are not going to come back. I mean, when we have games like Titanfall coming out in March, I don't see a lot of people waiting till April to be able to drop in smaller friend only groups.

It's only been turned off since early OB when the Lone Wolves QQed about getting smashed by the Evil Premades, what's another couple months?

remind me why 12-man premades are so incredibly scared of fighting other premades?

and then try and explain how that min/max team stuff all you other premades couldn't compete against is a positive thing in a pug queue.

Remind me again, why you're so afraid of being social?

This can't return fast enough! Yay for 2-12 player groups! The more the merrier! ;)

So glad they decided to listen to the social part of the MMO community! And not to those antisocial individuums who want to enforce their unability to interact with others on us. Those seem to miss the entire point of online games and better stick to their single player PvE. ;)

Nah, I've been infected with the Battletech virus for nearly two decades now. Kinda makes you a survival specialist! ;)

Can someone explain to me how everyone is excited about this? Isn't it PGI sanctioning pug-stomps? And if not, explain to me how this isn't going to be more pug-stomping. Why am I the bad guy who will be denied wins ever again because I say " No, I do not want to go out of my way to use a third party VoIP where I must spend hours in the 'looking for group' lobby because I didn't FarmVille my MWO enough to be able to compete or even stay alive."

I'm not antisocial, but when I went to look for groups months ago, every group's rules were to fill out an application so you could be entered into their banana republic armchair dictator hierarchy where they tell you the exact hours you're allowed (and obligated) to play, and if u didn't play well enough or at the right times you could be kicked out. This wasn't one super competitive team doing tournaments either. This was every group 'recruiting' in Davion and Steiner at the time.

Joining one of the public teamspeaks is out too as a: I've spent about two hours of my life in a 'looking for group' lobby and exactly zero hours of my life actually playing with another human being on ts3; and b: Not being too shy to barge into some total stranger's business is a required skill for FarmVille, not an online shooter.
