The title says it all. Up until Yule I could log into the game and have windows open, one with music on in the background. Unfourtunately, I took a break over the holiday, from all things techie. Now that I have come back I have found that if I log in to the game, my internet speed slows to a crawl. My computer lags when changing tabs. It also causes severe lag in the game-I click on the mechlab, and it will take several seconds to open, and then it will have to zoom into the Mech, which it will do but in a laggy way that takes several seconds. If I try to drop then I cannot play because I find myself rubberbanding and lagging insanely. This does not happen when I open the patch window, or the client. it only starts when I actually log in to the game. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it has not worked. Can anyone help me please? (P.S., sorry for the text block. I cant press enter on this site at college)

If you have not changed any hardware or connection on your end. Have you searched your PC for any malware (Virus, Trojan or Adware) which has since cluttered up your PC? Are your drivers up to date and installed correctly (i. e. installing new GPU drivers without first completely removing the old ones)?

This is the first Im hearing that MWO causes the rest of the internet connection to also lag out (a few people have posted about bad connections to the game servers lagging the game, but no lag elsewhere. So yours is a different situation).

I have had AVG run several scans, both before anhd after updates, but there has been nothing discovered. All my drivers are fully up to date as well. As i said i am not sure what has happened, because i turned it off over the holidays, and when i turned it back on it was lagging badly.
