Actually, its not a browser/Cookie thing. Something on the home page is a little slow at detecting the version of Javascript it seems. I get this as well. Nearly every time I load the page, I get this "Get a better browser" message before the normal script loads.

This is the same for my work PC with Chrome (Fully updated windows, Java and so on) and the PC at home with Firefox (Also fully updated and of course a different IP and hardware configuration). Its not something gamebreaking, just a bit wierd to see this sort of thing.

Seems to be related to

http://static.mwomer...mwo.2.header.js

Just keeps loading forever in Chrome. When I cancel the loading, I can browse the page (almost) like normal.
Wasn't there a similar issue a few months ago ?

I strongly recommend NOT using Chrome. At least not if youre not interested to donate to Googles ever-growing data collection.
The browser is gathering every bit of information it can get on your behaviour in the Inet (e.g. google keywords), besides the fact that "your" Chrome Browser has an ID with which you can be directly identified -as can be all your online activity...

I recommend "SRWare Iron" - its Freeware based on Chromium Sourcecode, so you have the same functionality (and its also clean and simple, even a bit faster) without some ********* and his company (Hey Larry Page!talkin bout you!see that finger?) sticking their greedy hands in your private matters...

Of course its up to you if you wanna contribute to the Brave New World ;P

edit: copy/pasted link

edit2: added Info for notorious Chrome Users: Use at least "Unchrome" (replaces your Chrome ID with a line of zeros) or better "Kill-ID" (stops every attempt from Chrome to send Data to google)
