Hello Karl, I'm sorry to bother you and resurrect this ancient thread of yore but I was wondering if perhaps you could clarify something for a few of us.
Since 2013, there was an anti-farming measure added to leaving early, where if you did so while alive or without finishing a bare minimum requirement you didn't get your rewards. This was further expanded on in 2015 with the reconnect system.
Many of us for the longest time have been under the impression that when you left early, any enemies you hit but had not yet received a kill assist for when you left, could not be awarded (or simply wasn't). This is based on the rewards "earned up until you disconnect." As said assist isn't yet earned until the target is dead, the language could mean (and many of us believe it was clarified as) any rewards for kill assists earned after the disconnect weren't given. Presumably due to a technical limitation.
The score screens now show kill assists for everyone and seems to include kill assists to kills made after said people disconnect. Does this mean that kill assists are now giving the cbill rewards after disconnection? Has it always given them? And if they haven't always done so, how recently was this fixed? Or has it been fixed?
Given your title as technical director, I think you would be the most qualified to answer.

Er, depends on what you mean; Karl was answering questions here for over 90 pages, but stopped when he left to go work for Amazon. We were sad, though of course it was a great opportunity for him.
Crap.
