After a month of not playing, I still match up to high elo players or even don't find a game... how about implementing ELO decay?

I understand teh desire for this 100%
But on the other hand, then we'll get the exact opposite complaint / gripe /whine from people who haven`t played in (x) months and are pissed off about getting thrown in with the scrubs... and since everyone on this forum firmly believes that they are in the top .0001% of MWO players, that is probably the bigger shitstorm...
Dunno, I don`t think there`s a realistic way to straddle this line....

I am in the greatest .0001%, I just keep having bad games. ELO is rigged against me, that is probably the bigger shitstorm...
I think ELO decay is a good idea, I don't play MWO every single day. There are times when I don't play for a few weeks and I can assure you I'm not my normal .0001% razor sharp after a month away...

Elo decay is used in any halfway competitive game, so yeah, add it to the next matchmaker. If you win vs supposedly bad odds, your Elo movement is large, so if you are still good after a break, you will quickly get back into the proper bracket.

dont worry. suck for long enough and your elo will come down and then it'll be ok

How about unlocking the option to play at 10 or 15% lower ELO rating for a few matches if you have not logged on for longer than 30 or 60 days....

It's a great idea. That way high Elo players can have multiple accounts and ensure they will only have to fight against noobs!
That was the inspiration for this idea, right?
