you know PGI's done goofed when an idea comes up for how they've done something wrong then when it appears on the forums nobody has any objection, or support of the old plan, or whiteknighting/trolling to make out of it.

I do like the look of your mech lab,I think it conveys the right amount of information without being to complicated, I also like the fact that it can be toggled, this mech lab might be easier to use for new players as I doubt new players will be happy at having to complete some sort of click fest. I think pgi could and should take notice of this idea as it just seems to be better than pgi's attempts so far

They did tweet recently that they were developing a more user-friendly mech lab

This, I am sure, has already been mentioned but the ability to dynamically magnify Mechlab display size is a feature Bryan Ekman says he would like to pursue, at some point. It can be accomplished now by changing the video resolution in the MWO client Options section but this is not the preferred way and is not user friendly.

Great suggestions.

And please give us back our immersion

Launch instead of Start
Whatever but not checkout
buy, purchase, apply, save, equip, but do not transform this into an amoazon cart.
Yes please do not use the word cart either.

My apologies if this has been beaten to death already, I have not thoroughly searched through all of the posts on UI2.0.

Overall, I like it! Great feel. A few things I noted:

1) In the Store, I can't figure out how to display information about the mechs I'd like to purchase. Not sure if it's just not there, or if it's somewhere that I don't know about. I expect the information to pop out just like the mechs in my mehcbay that I hover over, but it's not doing that.

2) In the mechlab, I haven't found where the number of rounds per ton of ammo is listed. Now.. I've been playing the game for a while now, so I know that information and don't really need the game to tell me, BUT for a new player they need to know that. If that information is listed anywhere, I haven't found it.

Thanks for your time PGI! The game is great!

Wow I was just tried it and was going to post something just like this. Thank you for saving me the time!

The screen with your mech in the middle looks fine but you should just be able to right click on it to bring up a smurfyish interface. Have it flip out and unfold itself..now that would look slick. The whole interface it just so damn clunky, even the mech selection is just sad. If you are going to have a wall of mechs at least be able to multiple fliter. Say by weight, class, xp level, yada. yada, yada. Then just double click on a mech to blow it up a larger size. Click a gain to bring up a paint or loadout option.

Please for the love of MW read and implement what the community is feeding you.

UI 2.0 also needs the ability to remove modules etc with just a double click. No need to move the mouse all over the place to remove individual pieces. Also... A strip all button.

eww double click. Rclick is often used for this type of function.

Good thing too, this would be a click/drag fest of a mechlab. It would take awhile to edit a mech.

because it's super fast right now, right?

why not both?
Doubleclick would seem much more intuitive for me
