After polishing off another BT novel I'm reminded of how much I love the Mauler. Ever since the Battletech Animated Series the Mauler was my favorite 'mech until the Kodiak just edged it out in Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries and the Jade Falcon trilogy turned me into a Clanner. I've seen a few posts asking for the Mauler in the past, but many feel that there aren't enough variants at this time, mostly due to C3 not being available. Since MWO's gameplay already runs like we all have C3 equipped that's kind of a moot point. While my play style has kept me, almost exclusively, in scout 'mechs I would dive into the assault class head first if the Mauler became available, and would definitely spend the MC for Captain Hawkins' hero 'mech. The -1R, -1K and -3R variants would make excellent additions to the assault class as well as take some of the long range support pressure off of the Stalkers. With the Clans on the horizon, the Mauler is quite due for its response to the invasion.

The Mauler would be a nice addition. A good flexible chassis with a lot of potential. Still prefer to see the Banshee though.
