Hello,
I have played the game now for half a year or so, and everything worked fine till the last patch.
the problem is, that after 2 matches my computer shuts down suddenly.
First i get a black screen followed by a "no signal" message and 5 seconds after that the pc shuts down.
Other games are working fine, the problem occurs only with mwo after two matches.
system temperature is normal, all drivers are up to date, repair toll does not show any corrupt files.
Did someone else experience this and is there a fix?
Right now it is just unplayable.
thx

I had something similar , the game would just stop and my machine would restart , it got solved by doing a full reinstall of the game, using low preset video options and installing the newest beta drivers.
Hope it helps.

When was the last time you cleaned out the computer [and PSU] with compressed air? It *ALMOST* sounds like a PSU issue [which I could believe, given the state of the client] but I'd follow Nik's suggestion first and try a complete reinstall first [because I could also believe THAT given the state of the client]

Greetings all,
A forced restart is never a good thing,
- If it's caused by a Vid card you will simply loose the signal and black screen, but the computer will normally continue to function.
- If it's caused by the power supply, (thermal warning, built in shut down) you system will suddenly start shutting down.
[Warning NEVER blow out cooling fans with compressed air, it will over-spin the bearings and destroy them.]
Check that all the components fans are indeed running, if the PSU has a fan check. Normally during operation you can check the back tower exhausts for individual heat sources. Not always accurate but gives an idea where the most heat is being generated. Again, most sudden shutdowns indicate an emergency system reaction, something designed to save itself.
When your system was operating normally just prior to installing a game or patch, the first and normal culprit is incorrect driver settings for something. Then check directly for excess thermal spikes, followed by checking your PSU, which is more difficult. I found that I was having issues with game slowdown, general overall system slowdown, and random video blank outs. I replaced my PSU with a "gold" certified unit with dedicated 12V lines for the video cards. (needed 4 6pins), and modular lines for all the other items, have never had any issues since. The PSU is the heart of everything in your computer and needs clean power lines running to your system, not tapped repeatedly to the components.
good luck,
