It was revealed a little while ago that there is a new 35 ton humanoid light mech in the works. For the fun of it, I decided to take a stab at creating an MWO concept version of what I think that mech might be. So, without any further ado, I give to you my take on the Panther.

I am working on a fully coloured version of this image, with the standard concept art background. But it's a little ways off yet, so you'll have to wait for it to be finished. Soon™

That looks AMAZING. Like ready to be sculpted and dropped into MWO AMAZING.

Looks great! About the only criticism I have of it is that the head does not look panthery enough, IMO. Specifically the "ears" and cockpit glass arrangement do not seem to have the panther feel of, say, this:



Otherwise, the rest of the mech looks pretty damned awesome incredible!

My only critiques would be the feet look a little small, and the cockpit.... just not "panthery" though TBH, the Panther always had an odd duck weird head to begin with.

I never liked the overly totemic interpretations of mechs like the Panther and Wolfhound. What is the point? It's like making the front of a F-15 into the likeness of an actual Eagle....Why?! When you cross that point it goes from robotic warmachine to power rangers or zoids.

IMO the Panther has never looked better Dadrick.

I like the idea a new 35 ton chassis , but I really want some more in the Heavy class 60+ tons. We have plenty of mediums, lights and assaults.
