There seems to be an issue with getting sun glare on the cockpit glass when looking away from the sun. Has anyone else noticed this? Could this be caused by the back of the player cockpit model being open?

it is because there is not a back end to your cockpit, when you could change your fov you could move it back far enought that you could see where the textures ended for the cockpit this left the back end of the cockpit open, this is where the sun is shining in at. Till they make the back of the cockpit enclosed you will continue to have this problem.

Yeah that's what I figured. Guess we'll just have to wait for PGI to fix it, if they actually do. It should be a quick and easy fix, though.

It's too much.
I wonder if you get more effect at higher graphics levels?
I am on maximum settings and it is WAY too much.

Yea I found out that there's no back to the cockpit and even before glass it messed up the lighting inside the cockpit so I hope they do at least cover it

Has anyone submitted a support ticket on this so they know about the issue? (those tend to get looked at sooner than forum posts and get added to the issues queue). Good luck with resolution.

Had a bug in the 12-man Public Test Client where my mech was stuck and I had 360 degree of CTRL free vision, I could basically look backwards and there was just a huge opening. So I think the statements above could be correct.
