I got a workaround (or part of one) for the textures bug on Frozen City and Frozen City Night. After getting rid of the shaders using the repair tool. I logged into the game and went to the two maps using the testing grounds and they loaded perfectly. After going into each map in the testing grounds they load fine during regular drops.

Have not tested if I need to do it each time I launch the game or not, but it worked. I have done this after getting the bug twice now and each time the maps load the textures like they are supposed to instead of that flat grey.

Can anyone reproduce my results?

I will see if I can reproduce this the next time it pops up for me, although I haven't had it in a bit.

Just got the bug again on Frozen City Night, may be a temporary fix. Some textures appear from certain angles.

I wouldnt really call standing in place and only looking in one direction for the rest of the match exactly a "fix" though.

The way the program works is that the first time (as in deleting the shader folder) you go into a map it renders all the textures and put them into the cache. as you play it reads those textures and put them into the game. if that texture gets corrupted it fails to load properly. that is why deleting the shader cache will fix it till that texture gets corrupted again. for some reason frozen city is the only map that this occurs on consistently. The only real fix is to delete the folder each time this happens until they fix the problem.

Activating the V-Sync Option did helped me to get rid of the Missing-Textures \ Flickering-Textures bugs.

I also forced the V-Sync to be always On for MWO in the ATI-Catalyst driver Panel.

Since i have been offline for long time and don't remember much I can tell you to try changing sys_spec = 3 to sys_spec = 1 in system.cfg file and delete content of X:\MechWarrior Online\USER\Shaders\Cache
Old prelaunch beta trick that works till today and I have no idea why such problems still exists...

Welcome to Almost Anonymous PGI's [bugs] Haters Club.
I'm owner of AMD/ATI Radeon video card and I have tried every workaround on this bug created for last 15 months: V-sync (both application set and Catalyst set), system.cfg alterations (sys_spec), user.cfg alteration (sys_spec array, r_SSAO, r_PostMSAA, r_FSAA and few more variants), CryRender libraries swap, regular cache cleaning, but nothing helps. I still constantly see this bug in game on Frozen City and frequently on Alpine maps, though I should mention that I do not observe it while on testing grounds usually - instead textures replacement with inscription 'shader' shown during session start, but after that textures load well and display correctly.
It is real shame that PGI does not give a damn about known old bugs like that one. Cash crab is their only worries, you know.

If that makes you feel better NV cards also suffer problems with textures on those maps, at least one in my laptop also ati in desktop. And im really disappointed how PGI approaches this since it only appears during regular matches, so there is some point where to start with to fix it.

EDIT: after deleting shaders cache its worth to run frozen city night in testing grounds in first place, looks like it helps to resolve problem for longer in my case...

also add this line to your user.cfg file one of the dev's posted this up elsewhere. it may or may not help please let us know if it does

r_ShadersAsyncCompiling=0

vsync makes the shaders rebuild so it's probably related to a bug we've been tracking regarding the game getting corrupt during async shader compilation. we're possibly turning off async shader compile when dx11 is released but it's not my dept so I'm not sure. In the meanwhile if you delete your user shader cache, run the repair tool, and add r_ShadersAsyncCompiling=0 to your user.cfg it MAY resolve the issue but no promises for now :angry:
