Panther uses a 140 engine, that's not under 100.

Coulda sworn it used the 80 ;)

You could always do it with the prime variant.

BLR-1G

Or where ever you want to put the armor/ammo/ppcs.

Edit: Well 1D as well.

I think the Uziel is 3053?

Edit: http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Uziel 3065

Isn't that a clan mechs? Regardless I want that one bad! I want more mediums to harass the metas.

I have to keep telling people this....

With the way the Mechlab currently works in 1.5 and in the 2.0 tests, the Urbanmech is literally impossible. The Urbie uses a 60-rating engine, and the lowest the Mechlab is capable of going is 100. If they want to make the Urbanmech in MWO, they need to completely redo the way engines and the mandatory ten base heat sinks interact, otherwise it's literally impossible.

Worse, going by the way engine rating maximum allowances appear to be set, the maximum engine rating for an UM would -still- be sub-100, and thus no variants would be possible either.

I was speaking strictly of sub-100 rating engines, which is what the Mechlab won't allow.

What would prevent the Mechlab from having sub-100 rated engines exactly? The Urbanmech with its 60 rated engines has 2 internal HS + 9 external HS for a total of 11 doesn't it? Follows MWO's 1 internal HS per 25 tons just fine doesn't it?

Classically the 10 HS that you needed to run a mech were 'weightless' and the gyro had a seperate weight (based off of engine size)

They swapped those two (so the heatsinks are weighted, but the gyro isn't) and <100 grade engines would require reworking that. (as anything under would have negative weight with the current setup)

Somewhere I believe they said it was on the list of things to do, but until it happens....
