Simply put..
We know that Cryengine Is what the game is run on.. i believe version 3.4.5 is what PGI is using.
We know Cryengine can be Downloaded for free, and content subscriptions to it are pretty cheap..
Would it be possible to list the parameters for Maps sizes, and Detail aspects,
Terrain parameters, Other General Aspects.
Let the community Create a maps, then based on a vote, let the top 3 maps win a prize, then PGI polish the map to make it functional..
This would get the community more involved, take some pressure off PGI for content other than mechs, Ect. and If you want to make a galaxy.. You're going to need a lot of maps..

PGI is rewriting most of the Cryengine code for the game because Cryengine tech support is useless. Anything you do on Standard Cryengine wouldn't be compatible with the rest of the game. My Source...... a fly on the wall.... and it's accurate.

Unity seems 300x easier to use than I Cryed engine.. but that is my 2 cents.. i never understood the use of cry engine..
I would still think the basics of a map file file, on the same engine would not change despite the modification of overall engine.
However, thanks for the input.

I'd say PGI is useless and they can't handle Cryengine.

Unity is a horrible engine, I see a game being produced on the unity engine I avoid it like the plague.

My Wow was not related to the engine part.

The truth behind.
Cryengine can be very complex.
With modules and costimization it´s easy to adapted to each situation.

PGI created one mechanics for something, instead of using module in cryengine
PGI miss used mechanics from the engine to fitt the mechanics and needs for there homesulutions.

becouse of that, a perfect map from basic engine would only reduce 25-40% work in Ideal situation.
in most of the cases it will increase the workload becouse of bug- and errorhunting.
