I've noticed the new glass textures in game, but I also noticed that the panes of glass seem to flicker on and off for me. One moment I have a glass texture, the next, it's gone. This effects each pane of glass differently.

Ex: My Battlemaster has three panes of glass. Left, right and center. I can get glass effects on the left one, but none might show on the center one. Then the center one will flicker on with the left one. Then, center and left flicker off, but then the right one turns on. Then, all of them might turn off, or turn on.

I've primarily seen this on my own Battlemaster, but I have yet to really test other mechs yet. When spectating, I haven't noticed it as much, but I'll admit, I don't always pay attention when I'm spectating (I tend to go do something else and glance at the match from time to time).

Are your drivers updated ? Did you run the repair tool ? Did you submit a ticket ? You know...all the good stuff.

Drives updated (last I knew). Just recently downloaded (and ran repair tool) not too long ago (new computer). I have not submitted a support ticket as of yet, as I wonder if I'm the only one to have this happen, and I'm making a post in the patch feedback, as it relates to this patch.

As I figure more of it out, I intend to update this is more information. Right now, I don't really have any knowledge as to why it is happening, or if I'm just "not noticing" it every so often. Being new and all, I want to do farther testing with more mechs.

Stalker seemed to have it fine, and I didn't notice it flicker on and off at all, but it might have and I didn't notice it in the heat of combat.

I found that if it wasn't reflecting (on low details), it become 100% transparent, which is kinda odd.

Sounds like what was happening, as I have everything set to low (for the moment) except for textures (so I can actually see lines in my cammo).

I wish it would flicker off and stay off, give me my stable frame rate back and loose the lag on my adv zoom response that came along with it.

nobody asked for this rubbish shouldn't you all be working on ui2 and cw ?

Do you really mean flickers on/off, or that the effect does get stronger/weaker? In the latter case, that may depend on the position of the sun as the light source.
The glass effect seems to be designed to be strongest when the sun if behind the 'Mech and shines through some rearward holes in the cockpit (?!) onto the inner side of the glass panes...

It seems to be there one moment, and the next not visible at all. Weather that is from sun location (I twist) or it turning off, I don't know. I see it change most on the Battlemaster, and my other mechs (older, non-phoenix pack mechs tested so far) seem to have the glass remain in place.
