Just curious but how does that give the Muromets more punch if it drops the burst down by five and the sustained drops almost by a second (mind you ive been playing for a total for two weeks, almost have the basic tree on it done, just need one more)
There are 3 different types of "damage" in this game.
The first being direct fire damage. These are ballistics (autocanons, Gauss, and PPC). They all have travel time and deal all their weapon's damage at the location of impact.
The second is burn time damage. These weapons are hit-scan and deal damage over a duration, which include all lasers (minus TAG which does not deal damage), machine guns and flamers.
The third is missiles, which act similar to ballistics, except with damage spread and slower movement speed. They are generally very unreliable.
What I've done is swapped the 3 medium lasers which do burn time damage -- which doesn't sync well with the auto-cannons you have. Although on paper a medium laser does 5 damage, it is very unlikely you are to get all 5 damage per laser on a single location, never mind getting the full burn on target. At MOST a new player will be getting 1-2 damage per laser on a single location. Also, the ERPPC and UAC's have a similar extreme damage range curve, so you'll be able to do reliable damage with the 3xUAC5 and ERPPC up to ~1000m; as opposed to the medium lasers which are only decent up to ~350 meters with their **** max weapon range.
The PPC however does all 10 damage to the location you hit - with a similar movement velocity of the 3xUAC5's.
PPC's have a travel speed of 1,500m/s and the AC5 family has a travel distance of 1,300 m/s, so it is MUCH easier to get all 10 damage of the PPC and 15 damage from the UAC's to land on the same location,
instantly.
Also, ignore the "max sustained firepower". That stat means almost nothing as the UAC's will most likely jam before DPS is in any way significant to actual in game effectiveness.
Your welcome.
