NO change in wait times, but for some reason the game has crashed during a match 6 times in a row.

Why! I was just able to play the game, and now it's back to "failed to find match". Thanks. I already wasted my Phoenix Package Premium Time searching, maybe playing a game or two an hour. Not this again...

Elo needs reset periodically to prevent stagnation.

Same waiting time, but games still very imbalanced. I see an obvious premade, with 4 consecutive players having same faction, nearly every match when running a medium/heavy (my best weight classes). Majority of games end up 12-2 / 2-12 or worse. Maybe 10-20% end with the teams being withing 4-5 kills of each other, which I consider a pretty good round.

I wonder if premades had a separate queue, what would happen?

Shorter, at the cost of balance... seriously, what will it take for your team full of interns to realize you really need to balance with weight class and BattleValue. If people are running with PPC,AC5's or AC20's, they would do well to be matched with each other... as it sits, running anything under 65tons is down right punishing

Still seems like quite a long wait for a game. Maybe a bit shorter?

The previous change to the thresholds brought down my wait times but the latest change has increased them. Overall my wait times are less than they were but this has come at the expense of balance.

Previously, as long as I stuck to playing during prime time most of my matches would be very close. Now it's just one stomp after another. I had a match where my team had two disconnects and yet we still stomped the opponent. If we had had a full team the match would undoubtedly have been even worse for the opponent. I was in my X-5 and even though it's not a competitive 'mech my opponents were so out classed that I was just running round killing people with near impunity. This is not fun.

Personally I want to fight people that are as good or better than me. Fighting people that don't stand a chance just isn't fun for me. I personally would much rather have long wait times than unbalanced matches.

Shorter sometimes, no change other times.

Occasionally I get a longer one, but this is rare.

Waiting times are shorter, but the match maker is still garbage, still getting teams of lights and mediums put up against teams of heavies and assaults.
Time to ditch the current matchmaking, separate queues for solo droppers and pre-mades, you've held out on this long enough.

Having a mix of short and long waits....not really sure what to report on this....not sure it's an ELO issue

A mix of shorter wait time and no change.
Probably due to my average performance/ELO that kept me near the bell peak and easily match up with a game. (KD of 1.00) ;)

Sorry, but you really need ELO, as the difference in skill between players is pretty freakin large. Not only do 'better' players usually run better mechs, whereas lower run crappier mechs, and this just exacerbates the problem. There is also quite a large learning curve, so you really can't match people on tonnage alone. You really need probably a combination of ELO and some sort of battle value - so that better mech designs i.e. single heat sinks vs double, can be adressed and catered for.

It was shorter today as far as I could tell.

Of course, this won't matter that much if the player pool gets smaller.

I'd love to vote in the poll but since there are few of my friends to play of late and few matches to base this opinion on, I decided to drop alone. That was a long +2 minute wait.

I'm going to enjoy watching the "tonnage limits nao" crowd when their proposed fix has virtually no effect except to prevent people from playing their preferred mechs.

Seems like longer wait times dropping solo,   but i haven't got one fail, and the matches seem more balanced then yesterday,  So its all good with me.  Good job.

I saw "threshold" and got excited. They're gonna fix the rising thresholds of heatsinks to make heat actually matter in MWO and reduce alpha warrior to chainfire warrior!

Then I saw "ELO" and the light of intelligence faded in my eyes as I died a little inside.

You should have had a second part to this poll... "Did you notice a change in your win/loss ratio?"

Not just yes, but hell yes. Instead of getting rolled 0:12, 1:12, 2:12, or 3:12, there was not a drop I was involved in that went below 5:12 tonight, to the best of my recollection. I even managed to be on the winning team several times tonight, which was a nice change.
