Large Collection of PDF's from the tabletop game (fun read if you're into the lore)
A big chunk of the books in .PDF or ePub for free. (fun read if you're into the lore)
Camospecs, gallery of various Battletech minis in appropriate paint. (Fun if you like looking at painted miniatures, excellent resource for finding accurate paintschemes for various canon units)
And of course, the Battletech Wiki. (I've wasted hours on this one).

It should be refered to as the "unknown book."
Some people would prefer that all copies of the unknown book be burned.

I think it is the only canon product that was DE-canonnized later simply because it is the only BattleTech product with actual aliens in it.

see the "Star Wars Christmas Special" for comparable "never actually happened" material.

Victor below confirmed it, but I was gonna ask if that's the one with the anthro griffin aliens. It was actually a somewhat interesting story and when you think about it there's not a single alien race in all of Battletech aside from them and they're essentially impossible to find lore-wise as one official standpoint was "It's canon, but it'll never be reached again." Then there's others that don't even consider it canon at all.
Personally, I'd prefer them over ponies. But I prefer wolves over griffins. And in general, aliens to not look like they came from Earth's animals.
Though technically, there's alien wildlife. Just not sentient aliens aside from those -- and again, most don't even recognize their existence.
