Come to think of it, given the way PGI releases things, won't the initial clan invasion consist almost entirely of lights, with a smattering of smart, handsome, and sexy pilots in heavier mechs (the people who bought the packages) and a few sneering, evil, grand vizier types in gold mechs?
Won't that, combined with the slowness and low armor of clan lights, lead to an epic massacre (think "Bay of Pigs" as opposed to "Normandy"?
Just wondering....
Actually, now that I think of it, since clan mechs are going to be really expensive (c-bill wise), won't there be relatively few clan mechs (With the number getting lower and lower as we start approaching the release of assaults), depending on the number of people who have huge amounts of c-bills banked and want to play with clan mechs (and those who have lots of c-bills banked and come back to the game for the clan mechs)?
I'm looking forward (with some trepidation) to the release of the Clan mechs so I'm hoping it goes smoothly...

I just thought of this last night but they really really need to set up the Public Test servers with Clan tech and let people use it some. Especially since there is a large change in the way these things will be customized it would be good for them to show it off. That way people will fully understand it when they purchase it. One of the few reason I haven't bought a clan pack is because it's hasn't been fully explained yet.

No Clans before Community Warfare.
That being said what invasion?
With probably 90+ percent of the players jumping in Clanker mechs there won't be any IS mechs around to fight.
And I'm sure we all can see it coming.
The PGI starvation diet has ensured this.
Sooooo same old tired maps, different mechs.
The Inner Sphere has lost already without a clanker laser even being fired.

I imagine they'll release 4 chassis at once (the less expensive ones), one of each weight class, then release the other 4 in the same fashion as the Phoenix mechs. That way you have a choice for the F2P/C-bill clanners, but not the entire selection.
