At no point whatsoever is the P considered a metabuild. Also I am pretty sure that is, at most, a 3man.

But you are right ! THESE GUYS DARED TO USE ASSAULT MECHS **** THEM ALL BURN THEM TO ASH THEY DEFINITELY DO NOT SPEND HOURS A DAY RUNNING ALL SORTS OF MECHS (now that they can get games)

I'm not saying they shouldn't be allowed to, but I am pointing out a difference between their statements and their actions.

"Hey look, they finally fixed ELO so we can continue to not challenge ourselves! Lets group up and run all highlanders! F-YES!"

...too bad they couldn't do as well as that Trial Cicada on the other team though...\

Ninnies...

Are you in a unit BillyM? If so, I challenge yours to an all-Trial 12-man scrim. Let's see how that goes.

Lol, they are willing to challenge themselves after all!

...just not against pugs, gotta bring the highlanders for that, haha!

(I only just started playing with a group, so I need to see what their rules are on such things. I can't speak for "mine" on I'd they would even be interested...)

...that said, why should I respect your challenge? If I remember correctly it was me who extended the first challenge to challenge yourselves a bit, yet the first time I drop back into games, there you and yours are again all highlander'd up.

I've already proven this thread is valid. Stomps not only exist, they are excessive. If higher skilled players have to wait longer for queues, PGI needs to make a new queue for them.

So let me understand, you want to dictate what I play in every match in pugs, yet you can't control your own unit? I don't play for you, I play for myself. If I want to play Trials, I'll play Trials, but only when "I" want to.

1. I experience a lot more 12/0 wipe rofl stomps since you changed it. 19 out of the 22 games tonight were wipes, 15 being defeat wipes. So no, it's not funny or fun.
2. My average waiting time is up by 1~2 minutes.
3. I now experience failed to find matches AGAIN in my heavies/assaults.

The maximum elo adjustment should not have been adjusted to 1400. If it's not going to change. I will be submitting a ticket then and report this as a bug. Because it is downright unacceptable that I am not allowed to play half of the mechs I've collected, especially hero mechs.

Herr Panzer Magier

Considering the majority of players drop in Heavies and Assaults you can chalk up point 3 to population+saturation. The ELO may have been loosened considerably then tightened up slightly but that doesnt change the basic dynamics of the game: First team to lose 2-4 of their inexperienced players is typically the one that gets stomped simply by numerical superiority. What's also a factor is the ELO is set up to calculate a pairing like 2300+700 is equal to 1500+1500, which is well within the realm of acceptable according to its presets... in reality it is far from equal.

I can say that i've stopped failing to find a match 3-4 times in a row in my Jenner(Lights in general) after they loosened it up but the fundamental issue is and will always be there with a 'loose' preset; The MM system scales ELOs linearly instead of exponentially. A player with 2000 ELO is not 100% better than one with 1000, nor equal to two with 1000 - A player with 2000 rating is 500% better than two with 1000... MM System does not reflect nor incorporate this. There should be a rating level that if you do not meet or exceed, you cannot be matched with anyone above said rating... say 1000. This would restrict the severely inexperienced players to games amongst themselves while leaving the players with some idea of what they're doing and able to keep their heads down when necessary facing off against vastly superior players instead of the former. The general level of competency would be higher, resulting fewer suicidal solo chargers that immediately put their respective team at a disadvantage.

Just my opinion, though.

Paul destroyed his own mm commentary...if you read what it says...it is full of contradictions that make no logical/mathematical sense...if you listen to the 'feel' of it, apparently there are no problems and everything is super perfect, the fact that people are complaining is just plain weird!

But it really makes no difference what you drop in if the skill difference is simply too high, or if you have comms, I have been in so many 4mans that stomped without losing for hours and nobody was on comms and talk was only done through chat and then not often.

Cool! I am envious that you have enough folks on to convince people into 12-man sub-optimal builds.

No, I simply was suggesting an alternative to running all-EZ-mode in pugs that result in your and yours facerolling your way to fail-to-find. This was met with "blah blah blah I run anything and still have high elo" yet the very next time I run into you kids you're back in the EZ-mode... I cannot obviously "dictate" what you run, but maybe the word you were looking for was "implore". Lastly, it's not about trials, it's about challenging yourselves with something outside your safety-zone. You're a heck of a player, wouldn't have those failed-to-finds without, and I would love to see you guys challenge yourselves more frequently...

...ninnies
