Because it is downright unacceptable that I am not allowed to play half of the mechs I've collected, especially hero mechs.

You think it's bad now, wait until they implement tonnage limits. Nobody has given any thought to the restrictions THAT will place on players' choice.

I'm not trying anything again, you've found what works for you and you're unwilling to step outside of that.

Want to challenge yourself a bit? You and your team of tryhards rock some trials. ...that's all there is to it.

But I'm sure you'll snip-quote a portion of this and have some witty rebuttal, so goodluck with your failed to finds.

Dropping in a trial mech isn't going to affect failed to find match. Weight class elo doesn't change no matter what you're piloting.

I'm sorry, I misinterpreted the ability of the average forum poster to put together that only running sub-optimal mechs over-time would then lower your ELO to acceptable and match-able levels. ...so I guess I need to spell it out for you, sandpit, and Deathlike. "Running trial mechs does not immediately find you a game due to magical immediate elo-altering, but only over-time as you play sub-optimal builds more frequently."

Losing matches due to running mixed trial lances against other mixed-build lances and non-tryhards will quickly bring your elo to a manageable number. ...also known as the "put down the 4-man meta-lance" clause.

Listen, I don't care, I really don't. In-fact, I find it sweet justice that after months of "HGN HGN VTR DDC" as you "pro's" are so fond of that you can't get a match. So "like" and puff and argue and complain all you want, but know full well that YOU can challenge yourself and fix your issue at the same time if you're willing to give up your crutches, you pack of ninnies.

*signs off to go find a match in a trial Cicada after ~1min search*

Stats for the trials (note the Win/Loss whereas my avg is ~1.6 on owned mechs)
CICADA CDA-2A 51 20 31 0.65 102 34 3.00 19,390 47,364 04:59:21
DRAGON DRG-5N 68 33 35 0.94 103 41 2.51 28,071 64,293 07:17:54
SPIDER SDR-5K 24 11 13 0.85 40 15 2.67 8,078 24,347 02:17:19

^ That said, I don't think you can do better, you guys have been relying on your mastered builds and modules for too long and don't remember what it is to actually DRIVE your way to good results without relying on the metawagon to run you from start to finish... Get some...

So tell me, what builds do I run oh great and powerful sage?

Tell me the exact contents of my hangar. Please, go play your game. I'm curious now since you seem to know what I drive better than I do. Sadly, it's this kind of "know-it-all" attitude that leads to a lot of the bad ideas on here.

PGI has data from the entire player population. You have.......... well you have your sarcasm and apparent psychic powers.

...I'm sure they run machine guns, poor armor distributions, terrible heat efficency, no modules, and no efficencies, right? You ninny...

Say what you will but it sounds like someone's afraid to step off their front porch and get into the game (and 6,000 posts supports that idea). Feel free to keep getting failed to find or supporting those that do, that sounds like fun...

So, essentially, you want people to play **** mechs and stop trying to play the game properly. It's also pretty sad that you have less than a 1.0 W/L with the trial Dragon considering that mech isn't that bad. Same with the Spider-5K...

For the record, I don't pilot heavies or assaults. The majority of my play is in lights; a Jenner, specifically. Is that too meta for you? In the conventional MWO parlance, a Jenner is a meta mech, but you're not using meta in its actual definition nor its common one. You're just using it as a substitute for something that you can't kill, play against, and consider unfair. Fine, whatever. Don't act like you're better than other pilots due to that though. You also sound ridiculous complaining about people running mastered mechs of all things.

But hey, I still remember how angry you got at Wispsy and I a few months back when we repeatedly beat you in our Jenners. Kept on breaking up our group too... I guess we claimed your life a bit too much.

i dont think you get it, yes mechs do matter.... but the majority of the players stuck at the very high end of ELO can take bad mechs and still win... My Commando gets TKed more often than it gets killed by the enemy and still manage nearly 3kdr on it.

this whole thread is about a ELO adjustment and how the games dont seem fair to you, my only suggestion is for you play more matches in the Testing Grounds, maybe then you will feel the game is a little closer and more your style.

Can anyone explian to me how it should be different?

I mean didn't PGI say the max difference was 750 and the average difference was 175?

Whether they change it to 2,000 or 1,400 it shouldn't matter should it, MM was never touching those ceiling's before. What's changed?

Excessive whining @ the highest ELO happened, especially towards a particular player that PGI seems to like.

But how does it matter. Before the change whoever this guy was maybe the 750, now that the ceiling is adjusted he is still, ummm, the 750?

Clearly I have missed somethng :(

In the grand scheme of things, not that much has changed. Let's just say the player, most recently interviewed by NGNG (AFAIK) is probably suffering less from said changes (less "failed to find match", that is).

It's hard to explain further other than... it's not a "random event".
