According to your sportaccord link, you don't need any of those things to be a sport. Which I disagree with. Do you also now too?

How you got that from anything I've said is a mystery to me.

There are different kinds of sports with different requirements. Racing a car has a specific set of requirements, racing a horse another, competing in chess or snooker has still different requirements. They're all sports.

MWO has 3 of these things. Hand-eye coordination, reflexes, and muscle memory. SO imo, its a sport. Not an athletic sport, but a sport none the less. an "e-sport" only because its on the internet.

I agree - when we get private matches so that proper tournaments can be played. Right now the matchmaker makes it not a sport.

Its a mystery? lol Well when debating another poster on why race car driving should be considered a sport you said because...and I quote.... "If you don't have "hand-eye coordination, reflexes, speed, strength, and endurance" you will NOT win any races in ANY motorsport."

You don't mention any of the reasons why chess would be a sport or anything they have in common. I think you yourself know sportaccord is wrong to consider it one.

SO there is no key requirement huh? IMO, If it doesn't require at least coordination, which is a category everything else on that sportaccord list is actually a subcategory of, meaning Physical, motorized, animal, and even some mind, then its not a sport.

I disagree, Private teams are not going to change any of the mechanics of the game.

And like I told another poster, kids playing sports in their local parks on random teams, are still playing sports.

Even if they are competing in a game that is not professional, like in my city we have handball. Which is a big sport that is only played in NYC and LI, and is not a profession for anyone and which you will never see on tv. Or if they were throwing {Scrap} up against a wall, it could still be considered a sport simply because it at least requires some hand eye coordination.

handball is also a dying sport nowadays, because all the kids nowadays wanna do is cheat and argue every single call. They are not friendly or refuse to play with newcomers, so not many taking up the sport anymore.

Its one of the few sports, if any, in this country where you will see 65 year olds and 13 year olds on the same court having a serious competitive game.
