My RL is Matt Whitehead. I've just come back from a deployment with the RAF to find the MWO has changed, grown and gotten more wonderfully destructive! I used to be with a merc corp cReddit (great guys) but their play time was getting awkward for me due to RL commitments.
I'm back though, I'm keen to re-learn and I need a new home! So below is a small bit on me using the merc recruitment form, which I've also posted in said merc recruitment forum.

Playstyle: ACs, ACs and more ACs! Throw in some SRMs and Medium Lasers for variety and I'm done. In all seriousness, I'm generally a mid ranged sniper/suppressor jockeying heavies and assaults, but I have a wonderful habit of getting sucked into a good ol' melee!
Roletype: As mentioned above really. Currently I find myself trying to run rings around the heavy hitters or drawing fire from team mates getting hammered. I initially tended to be a bit of a brawler but as I learned the game and got to grips with it I find myself providing some ranged support before I wade in guns blazing. Whilst with my previous Merc Corp, cReddit (as mentioned, great bunch), I learned a fair bit about rapid advancement and flanking. You will also find me offering wonderful motivational speeches such as "Keep it together!" and "GO ON!". Ultimately though, I'm all about team wins, securing/achieving objectives etc. I love info and intel, if I'm not receiving it then I'm either trying calling it out or badgering people for it. Can't shoot mechs full of holes if I don't know where they are! I'm also very keen on team tactics; sticking together and focusing fire wins battles in my head. I'm not out for the highest points value, damage done, kills per match or highest KDR either... although that said, they are nice to look at
Preferred Weight: I love my Dragon and I'm looking forward to seeing the next lot of heavies that come out but the Battlemaster is slowly winning my heart. Other assaults are too slow, mediums are a bit ok but I prefer my big ACs and I me in lights are a bit of a joke really! So I guess anywhere between 65-85 tons.
Experience: MW3/4/4BK/4M, CnC (inc RA), Dark Reign, Warzone 2100, Total War series, Delta Force, CoD, Earth and Beyond, EVE (moved over from EnB and played on and off ever since), a bit of PlanetSide, lots of Planetside 2, massive fan of the BT table top game but was all alone in my area
, and I suppose serving in the air force helps a little too...Looking For: A Merc Corp or Davion unit with TS, vent or mumble, serious yet chilled out members who are up for a laugh (and who see as RL as priority over the game). Would like a little RP as I'm very keen on this Community Warfare thing (when it does eventually comes out) but not too fussed either way. I'd prefer a UK-based unit/group/hours but I'm happy to branch out so long as my playing hours are accepted.
I've tried sticking with EVE but without a decent group to play with it's pretty rubbish. I reckon I'll stick with Planetside 2 but that can get easily monotonous. But ultimately I really enjoy MWO, especially when I'm with a good group and I see myself sticking with this game regardless of how good the Community Warfare is, so I'm willing to put in a fair amount of effort for the guys I'm with.
However, I've just got back from a deployment and I'm sure there will be no shortage of hot, dry and sandy places for me to be sent on holiday to again. I've had some skill fade because of it so please take this into account too. I put effort into games like these, and all the more when skill fade takes its toll too. But a helping hand will never go amiss
