Is there such a thing as a ECM hunchbach? Saw one in terra therma the last match I played. 2 mechs left a Hunch and a Cataphract took the phract down all that was left was a hunchback with the red ECM symbol above it and I was getting buzz noise while trying to streak lock. Just asking. We won after he died.

No, Hunchbacks do not carry ECM.

Must have been something different.

Which symbol was it?

Red circle with red dot means they're covered by enemy ECM.

Red "low signal" phone bars means they're being jammed by your team's ECM.

Red ECM means that they're carrying ECM but it has been countered.

It's possible you were being jammed by a different mech.

No, there is no ECM Hunchback.

It may have been residual after a nearby ECM mech died. Since it takes about a second or half of a second for it to go away I noticed.

Or those two last enemies died in close proximity to each other. You just didin't notice the ECM mech at that point.

I really want a Medium with ECM... are there any? And if there are... are the ECM variants regarded as good/bad?

Would be nice to know before i bother going any further with the HBKs.

Technically speaking, yes, the Cicada had an ECM variant and is technically a medium, although in practical applications it functions like a Light.

No further ECM mechs have been announced, but I'd love to see one added in the 50-65 ton range

45-55 ton ECM mech would be nice.

IMO, it promotes team work and gives an important role to the few ECM platforms to limit the number of mechs that carry ECM.

Sure, but that doesn't mean that a more fight-functional medium mech couldn't have one.

Ick. I just never was a fan of the looks of the leggy lights. I respect their abilities, but this is the one time in my life i'll go all girly and choose form over function. lol

I had the 3 red bars. I am pretty sure it was a hunchie I have 3 of them. Did not see a spider nearby and it said 11 enemy killed up top. May have been a bug fluke. But my streaks gave me the cannot lock buzz buzz.

There was a spider enemy but he got smited. I did not witness it, that was probably it and it just took a second or two.

Weird. The 3 red bars indicates that the hunchie itself was being jammed by someone on your team.

Tip: Last I knew, Artemis will decrease the time it takes to get a lock with streaks even though they're not Artemis launchers.

Most likely protected by ECM. An example would be a Koniving + Lordred combination.

My Hunchback, his Commando with ECM. "ECM"-protected Hunchback.

I wish there was a Hunchie with JJs/capable of building mini-atlas build/ECM/Better speed cap (any one of those) so I could really play around with it similar to the HBK-5HG from MW4 Mercs. Good times...
