He gifted it to his son, Kai Allard-Liao when he first joined the Federated Sun's arms forces, where he served with distinction using the 'Mech during the Clan Invasion. Hanse Davion personally had the 'Mech modified with Star League technology when Kai refused to accept Wolf's Dragoon's produced Daishi Assault OmniMech, offcially passing it to Kai on 21 September 3050. The weapons had been replaced with a Von Ryan Gauss Rifle in place of Autocannon and Spitfire Medium Pulse Lasers, two on arm, one on torso and one on back. Additionally Mech was refitted with new generation of Triple Strength Myomer which did not burn when exposed to gas, the Miata 200 extralight engine, and three additional, switchable Heat Sinks. The 'Mech was briefly lost on Alyina, behind Clan Jade Falcon's Occupation Zone, but Kai later recovered it. Later, he used the mech as he followed in his father's footsteps as Solaris VII Champion.
Yen-Lo-Wang saw service again with Kai in the final assault of New Avalon island in 3067, protecting Victor Steiner-Davion from harm.
Sometime in the 32nd Century Kai gifted the 'Mech to his niece Danai Liao-Centrella. It had fallen in disrepair, and needed restoration. When Danai was old enough, she journeyed in early 3120s to gather parts to restore the 'Mech. She then used the 'Mech on Solaris VII, where she competed in the games and won the Solaris Open with it. She and Yen-Lo-Wang went into service of House Liao's Second McCarron's Armored Cavalry as part of 3120s incursion into Republic of the Sphere.
Armaments
The Yen-Lo-Wang was originally armed with an Autocannon/20 in place of the Centurion's Autocannon/10, two Medium Lasers and either a Hatchet or a Claw.
Later on, Hanse Davion had Kai Allard-Liao's 'Mech upgraded with a Gauss Rifle in place of the Autocannon/20, three Medium Pulse Lasers and TSM. Presumably sometimes in the 32nd century, the ancient 'Mech was refitted with a Heavy Large Laser, an LRM-20 with Artemis IV, a Hatchet, and a Shield, which was piloted by Danai Liao-Centrella.

PGI PLEASE!!! PLEASE !!! PLEASE!!! Burst Mode for this VERY expensive peice of equiptment.

I noticed in the BOOK Kai had to compensate for the rise of the barrel from the burstings. Walking the rounds in.
Looks like they just Put the weapon in the AC20 class because it was so devastating. Fired several rounds to devastating high explosive effect. Each round probably did like 7 damage but there were 4 to 9 of them each burst Must have had a horrible recycle time. BUDDA BUDDA BUDDA BUDDA BUDDA BRAP!!

Different manufacturers and models of autocannons have different calibers (25mm-203mm) and rates of fire. Due to this, autocannons are grouped into generic "classes" of autocannons with common damage ratings, with Autocannon/20s doing massive damage while having very short range.
An example of the rating system: the Crusher Super Heavy Cannon is a 150mm weapon firing ten shells per "round" while the Chemjet Gun is a 185mm weapon firing much slower, and causing higher damage per shell. Despite their differences, both are classified as Autocannon/20s due to their damage output.

Did she start off with the original design?
Don't think so was modified made sleeker but stronger by removing the Missile Hardpoint structure and modifying the internal structure to accommodate the massive auto cannon in the right arm. Had 1 med laser forward one pointed rearward but mainstay was the bursting auto cannon later changed to a heavy gauss rifle. In the book it was the auto cannon that ripped enemy Battlemech-mechs apart heavily modified like Han Solo's Millenium Falcon, triple strength myomer and multiple sensors added to the cockpit head for a full 360 degree view of the battlefield. The Yen-Lo was Fast and Agile , thinner around the torso, and sported a Bursting armload auto cannon of death that would shake the enemy mech ripping whole armor plates off during each targeted attack. Not like a standard Centurion Battlemech BTW She was a typo!!

Phelan Kell is first lost in action against a scouting force from Clan Wolf on the Rock in the first Blood of Kerensky book, Lethal Heritage. To the Inner Sphere he is presumed killed.
Then in the second book, Blood Legacy during the Outreach Conference a cryptic communiqué from Comstar is sent to Phelan's parents quoting the old line from Mark Twain "Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated..." However they have no idea what its supposed to mean.
In the third book Lost Destiny IlKhan Ulric Kerensky sends a direct message to Phelans family through Comstar, and iirc his parents arrive at Tukayyid after the battle and the end of the Ward Bloodname Trial, however the reunion itself is not depicted.
So to answer your question directly Phelan's parents learn directly of his survival in the third Blood of Kerensky book Lost Destany, however you won't see Phelan with his parents until the Stackpole novel following that trilogy, Natural Selection. The opening chapters of that book iirc (been 10 years at least since I read it) show Phelan and a honor guard of Clan Wolf at Arc Royal for a diplomatic exchange.
and after that in the novel bred for war (which basicly covers the start of the refusal war between wolf and falcons along with the beginnings of the fedcom civil war where fedsuns and lyrans seperate)

no, it sported a regular pontiac ac/20 and then later on during the clan wars it was replaced with a gauss rifle and pulse lasers

Still, being able to put all its damage into one place regardless of firing type makes little sense from a gameplay/lore perspective. Heck, one of the few 'Mechs even capable of carrying a singe round AC20 without the recoil ripping its arms out was the King Crab as it was specifically designed for that purpose.

EDIT: Although, most of these book are out of print anyway. Your link only has a handful of books, most of them recently written. It's not exactly piracy if the books aren't available for sale new anywhere.

While I agree to some degree, it remains piracy even if a product is out of print or out of production. I'd welcome a more open approach for copyright and content protection with open arms, but the industry stems itself successfully against any attempts of such a change and even manages to make the rules stricter year by year by influencing politcans.
Thank you for removing the link!
