I have to disagree. Both my D and F Jenners were able to kill Ravens in 1v1 fights reliably (the D using 2x SRM4s, during the splashdamagapocalypesaggedon). The only thing that's changed in that regard is the SRM D build is now very unreliable and BAP enables successful SSRM builds to replace it.
That's a factor of pilot skill, not Mech functionality. The reality is that had you been using a Raven 3L back in those days, you would have been even more deadly than you were while using your Jenners.
When evaluating Mech quality, you have to disregard your own personal experience because your skill as a pilot - whether good or bad - can dramatically affect your results.
Back in those days, the SRM-4 was dramatically inferior to the Streak SRM-2. The difference was so stark that a Raven 3L could often defeat a Jenner D
without even bothering to use its Medium Lasers. There were basically 10 points of guaranteed CT damage in every volley.
Given the speeds involved and the difficulty of keeping Medium Lasers on target, that pair of Streak SRM-2s was
almost enough to beat a Jenner F. Not quite, but the Raven 3L's Medium Lasers easily made up the difference and then some.
Don't forget that the Raven 3L also had borked hit boxes to go along with its overpowered Streaks. With equal skill pilots, it was just no contest.
